Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has joined forces with Jio-bp to integrate their electric vehicle charging networks, giving EV users access to more than 37,000 public charging points across India through the myHyundai app. The Hyundai and Jio-bp Partnership adds over 7,000 Jio-bp pulse charging points to Hyundai’s existing ecosystem of more than 30,000 points. These chargers are distributed across over 300 cities, with several strategically located along major national highways to support convenient long-distance electric travel.
The collaboration is designed to address one of the biggest concerns among EV owners: finding an accessible, fast, and operational public charger when needed.

Key Highlights
- More than 37,000 charging points accessible through the myHyundai app
- Over 7,000 Jio-bp pulse points added across 300-plus cities
- DC fast chargers with capacities ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW
- Jio-bp charging network claims 96% uptime
- Charging points available to EV users across vehicle brands
- 183 Hyundai-owned DC fast-charging stations currently operational
- Hyundai plans to operate 600 proprietary stations by 2030
- Hyundai chargers will gradually be listed on the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app
More Than 37,000 Charging Points on One Platform
Hyundai recently announced access to more than 30,000 charging points through the myHyundai app. Following the integration of over 7,000 Jio-bp pulse points, this network has expanded to more than 37,000 public charging points nationwide.
Customers will be able to discover and access participating Jio-bp pulse charging stations directly through the myHyundai app. Bringing a wider network onto a single digital platform should make it easier for EV drivers to find charging facilities without switching between multiple applications.
Importantly, this facility is not restricted to Hyundai customers. EV owners can use the myHyundai app to discover and access the available public charging points regardless of their vehicle’s brand.
What Jio-bp Brings to the Collaboration
Jio-bp operates more than 7,000 active charging points across over 300 Indian cities. Its network includes charging locations in urban areas and along major national highways, helping EV owners plan intercity and long-distance journeys with greater confidence.
Its DC fast-charging infrastructure offers power capacities ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW. However, the actual charging speed experienced by a vehicle will depend on its supported charging capacity, battery condition, charging curve, and other operating factors.
Jio-bp also reports an industry-leading network uptime of 96%. Charger availability is increasingly important because EV owners are concerned not only about finding a station but also about whether the charger will be operational when they arrive.
The Hyundai and Jio-bp Partnership therefore focuses on both network expansion and charger reliability.
Hyundai Chargers Coming to the Jio-bp Pulse App
The integration will work in both directions. While Jio-bp Pulse chargers will become accessible through the myHyundai app, Hyundai-owned high-capacity DC fast chargers will gradually be added to the Jio-bp Pulse Charge Pro app.
Hyundai currently operates 183 proprietary DC fast-charging stations in India. Existing locations and future installations will progressively become discoverable through Jio-bp’s digital charging platform.
This reciprocal integration can provide greater visibility to both networks while offering EV drivers more options through the preferred application.
Hyundai Targets 600 Charging Stations by 2030
Hyundai Motor India is also expanding its own charging infrastructure independently. The automaker plans to increase its proprietary DC fast-charging network from the current 183 operational stations to 600 stations by 2030.
This expansion is expected to support Hyundai’s growing electric vehicle portfolio while contributing to the broader public charging ecosystem.
Hyundai believes EV customers’ concerns are gradually moving from conventional range anxiety to “charging anxiety”—the uncertainty surrounding charger availability, accessibility and reliability. By combining its charging infrastructure with Jio-bp’s nationwide presence, the company aims to simplify the overall EV ownership experience.
Partnership Aims to Build Confidence Among EV Owners
Hyundai Motor India Executive Director Hyun Sup Lee said the collaboration represents another important step towards creating a holistic and worry-free electric mobility experience. He noted that convenient and reliable charging infrastructure will become increasingly important as Hyundai expands its EV product line-up in India.
The two companies may also explore customer-centric offers in the future, although specific benefits or promotional programmes have not yet been announced.
Jio-bp Chairman Sarthak Behuria said India’s transition to electric mobility depends on building customer trust at scale. According to the company, integrating its high-performance nationwide infrastructure with Hyundai’s charging ecosystem can help make clean mobility more accessible and dependable.
Jio-bp CEO Akshay Wadhwa emphasised that range anxiety is not limited to the number of chargers available. Drivers also need confidence that the charger at their next stop will be working. Jio-bp aims to address this concern through high network uptime and fast-charging technology.
How Will EV Owners Benefit?
The Hyundai and Jio-bp Partnership offers several potential benefits to electric vehicle users:
- A larger public charging network accessible through one app
- Easier charger discovery across more than 300 cities
- Access to fast chargers offering capacities of up to 480 kW
- More charging options along national highways
- Availability for EV owners across different vehicle brands
- Improved visibility of Hyundai and Jio-bp charging locations
- Greater confidence in charger reliability through reported 96% uptime
Can Non-Hyundai EV Owners Use the myHyundai App?
Yes. According to the information released by Hyundai, EV owners can access the charging network available through the myHyundai app regardless of their vehicle brand.
This open-access approach makes the platform relevant to the wider EV community rather than limiting its charging services exclusively to Hyundai customers.
What Is Jio-bp?
Jio-bp is the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Limited, a joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited and global energy company bp.
The business combines Reliance’s nationwide presence and digital reach with bp’s international experience in fuels, lubricants, retail and low-carbon mobility solutions. Alongside conventional fuels, Jio-bp provides electric vehicle charging, compressed biogas and other mobility services.
Its wider operations include air bp-Jio for aviation turbine fuel, Jio-bp Fuel4U for doorstep diesel delivery and Wildbean Café outlets in India.
Why This Charging Integration Matters
India’s electric mobility ecosystem is expanding, but the ownership experience depends heavily on convenient and dependable charging infrastructure. Simply installing more chargers will not solve every problem; drivers must also be able to find them easily and trust that they will be operational.
By combining more than 37,000 accessible charging points, high-capacity fast chargers, highway coverage and cross-platform integration, the Hyundai and Jio-bp Partnership could make public EV charging simpler for drivers across India.
Its long-term impact will depend on the speed of integration, real-world charger reliability, ease of payment and continued network expansion. Nevertheless, the collaboration represents a significant move towards building a more connected and accessible charging ecosystem for India’s growing EV market.
