As electric vehicle adoption continues to rise globally, one challenge remains consistent across markets: consumer confidence in long-term ownership. Concerns about battery life, resale value, charging accessibility, and maintenance support continue to slow EV adoption despite growing interest in electric mobility. This is where VinFast is tackling the EV Problems that many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) often leave unresolved. Rather than focusing solely on vehicle production and sales expansion, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer is investing heavily in creating a complete ownership ecosystem designed to support customers throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Moving Beyond Vehicle Sales to Build a Complete Ecosystem

Unlike many automakers that concentrate on launching new models and expanding dealerships, VinFast is building an integrated EV ecosystem. The company combines vehicle manufacturing with charging infrastructure, after-sales services, customer support, and long-term ownership programs.

A major component of this strategy is V-Green, VinFast’s dedicated charging infrastructure partner. Through V-Green, the company is rapidly expanding charging accessibility and reducing one of the biggest concerns among potential EV buyers—charging availability.

Industry experts attending the recent VinFast Global Business Conference in Vietnam noted that the company’s focus extends far beyond simply selling cars. Its strategy revolves around addressing customer concerns related to ownership confidence, maintenance, and long-term reliability.

Strong After-sales Network Strengthens Customer Trust

One of the key reasons VinFast is tackling the EV Problems effectively is its aggressive investment in after-sales support. Many workshop operators hesitate to invest in EV tooling and technician training due to uncertainty about an automaker’s long-term commitment.

To address this challenge, VinFast is expanding its global aftersales network to more than 1,100 service workshops by 2026. The network will be supported by standardized technician training programs, quality control systems, and robust spare parts supply chains to ensure quick service turnaround times.

The company also showcased its extensive service infrastructure to over 200 international partners, investors, and aftersales operators during its Global Business Conference, highlighting its commitment to long-term market development.

Strategic Expansion Plans for India

India remains one of VinFast’s most important growth markets. Surveys indicate that approximately 63% of Indian consumers are likely to adopt electric vehicles within the next five years, yet concerns about battery performance and resale value remain significant barriers.

To accelerate adoption, VinFast is developing charging corridors across India through V-Green’s partnerships with HPCL and RoadGrid. This collaboration provides access to HPCL’s vast network of more than 24,400 fuel stations nationwide, significantly improving charging accessibility.

The company is also strengthening its service network through partnerships with leading Indian automotive service providers, including MyTVS, PPS Auto LLP, Gopinath Motor, Aarna Trading, Haritash, and YouWee.

Industry-Leading Ownership Benefits

A major reason consumers believe VinFast is tackling the EV Problems effectively is its customer-centric ownership package. The company offers several incentives designed to eliminate long-term ownership concerns, including:

  • Free charging until March 31, 2029
  • Three years of complimentary maintenance
  • Industry-leading 10-year vehicle warranty
  • 10-year battery warranty
  • Financial support for customers transitioning from gasoline vehicles
  • Value assurance buyback program covering up to 75% of vehicle value

These initiatives directly address concerns surrounding battery degradation, maintenance costs, and resale value.

Local Manufacturing Supports Growth

To strengthen its presence in India, VinFast is establishing a dedicated assembly facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The localized production strategy will help the company improve supply chain efficiency, scale production according to demand, and maintain competitive pricing in the Indian market.

During visits to VinFast’s highly automated manufacturing facility in Hai Phong, international delegates witnessed advanced robotics and integrated production systems, reinforcing confidence in the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

Building the Future of EV Ownership

Beyond vehicle production, VinFast is creating a broader mobility ecosystem supported by Vingroup and V-Green. In Vietnam alone, V-Green is developing approximately 150,000 charging ports nationwide, creating one of the most comprehensive charging networks in the region.

The company’s ecosystem-focused approach has already attracted nearly 30 new international aftersales partners from India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Kazakhstan.

As the global EV industry evolves, VinFast is tackling the EV Problems that matter most to consumers—charging access, service support, battery reliability, and resale value. By addressing these challenges head-on, the company is positioning itself as more than just an EV manufacturer; it is becoming a long-term mobility solutions provider focused on building trust and accelerating electric vehicle adoption worldwide.
