Range Rover Electric Bookings Open in India from September 2, 2026, coinciding with the luxury SUV’s global unveiling. Reportedly available to reserve with a ₹10 lakh token amount, the model marks Range Rover’s first fully electric production SUV—not Jaguar Land Rover’s first EV, a distinction held by the Jaguar I-Pace.

Pre-launch orders are being accepted for standard-wheelbase and long-wheelbase versions. Prices, delivery schedules, and India-specific equipment details will be announced later. The electric flagship will target buyers seeking Range Rover luxury with zero tailpipe emissions.

Familiar Design, Smarter Aerodynamics

Rather than dramatically changing its identity, the electric model retains the upright stance, commanding proportions and clean surfaces associated with Range Rover. Key differences include an aero-optimized closed-style grille, aerodynamic wheels, a cleaner front bumper and slim lighting elements.

Its familiar side profile remains largely unchanged, while the uncluttered rear has no exhaust outlets. There is no “Electric” badge on the body, helping the SUV maintain its understated appearance. Buyers can select standard- or long-wheelbase configurations.

Power, Battery, and Driving Range

Range Rover Electric Bookings Open in India for an SUV powered by two permanent-magnet motors and all-wheel drive. Together, they produce up to 543 bhp and 850 Nm, enabling the luxury EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in approximately 4.5 seconds.

An 118.5 kWh battery featuring a double-stack arrangement of 344 prismatic cells powers the vehicle. Range Rover claims up to 600km of WLTP range and an estimated real-world figure of approximately 535km.

The 800V electrical architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. With a compatible charger, the battery can reportedly charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 22 minutes. A 10-minute charging stop can add up to 220km of WLTP range.

Luxury Meets Serious Off-Road Ability

Electrification has not removed the SUV’s all-terrain character. Its 900mm wading capability is supported by all-wheel drive, Intelligent Driveline Dynamics, and Integrated Traction Management. The system can adjust motor speed within 50 milliseconds for improved control.

Single Pedal mode is designed to make difficult terrain and steep climbs easier, with the vehicle claimed to manage gradients of up to 45 degrees.

Technology-Focused Premium Cabin

Inside, occupants get a 13.7-inch digital driver display and 13.1-inch touchscreen. Equipment includes AI-assisted range prediction, connected functions, remote cabin purification, scheduled charging, a heated steering wheel and smartphone-app integration.

A Battery Digital Twin monitors more than 900 diagnostic data points, while over-the-air updates help optimize vehicle systems throughout ownership.

India Variants Explained

Range Rover Electric Bookings Open in India across the standard-wheelbase Autobiography and First Edition, plus long-wheelbase SV, SV Ultra, and SV Black versions. The First Edition is offered in Belgravia Green, Santorini Black, and Varesine Blue.

Should Buyers Reserve One?

The booking announcement gives luxury EV buyers early access to a flagship combining 600km claimed range, rapid charging, strong performance, and genuine off-road capability. However, prospective customers should wait for confirmed prices, deliveries, and India-specific specifications before making their final decision.
