In a significant move for India’s electric mobility sector, LTEPS and EVR Motors Partner to develop, manufacture, and deploy advanced electric vehicle (EV) traction motors tailored specifically for the Indian market. The collaboration brings together the engineering, systems integration, and manufacturing expertise of L&T Electronic Products & Systems (LTEPS) with EVR Motors’ innovative electric propulsion technology.

Focus on Indigenous Manufacturing and Sustainability

The partnership aligns with the Government of India’s vision of promoting domestic manufacturing and accelerating the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions. Through this initiative, LTEPS and EVR Motors Partner to create high-performance traction motors that are energy-efficient, compact, and designed to reduce dependence on rare earth materials. These features are expected to help automakers improve performance while maintaining cost competitiveness and localization.

Solutions for Multiple EV Segments

The advanced propulsion technology will cater to a broad range of vehicle categories, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles. By offering scalable and efficient powertrain solutions, LTEPS and EVR Motors Partner to support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in accelerating their electric vehicle programs and enhancing drivetrain efficiency.

Manufacturing Hub in Coimbatore

Production of the new traction motors is planned at LTEPS’ state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The motors will be integrated with indigenously designed Motor Control Units (MCUs), enabling complete electric drivetrain solutions that improve performance, reliability, and ease of adoption for vehicle manufacturers.

Driving India’s Clean Mobility Future

Industry leaders from both companies emphasized the importance of localization, innovation, and system-level integration in building a sustainable EV ecosystem. As LTEPS and EVR Motors Partner to combine global technology expertise with domestic manufacturing capabilities, the collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s EV value chain and position the country as a key hub for advanced electric vehicle technology and production.
