India’s electric mobility supply chain is set for a technology boost as Ghaziabad-based Solterra Technologies partners with Taiwan’s Sinpro Electronics. The exclusive Solterra Sinpro EV Partnership will bring advanced electric motors, motor controllers, and DC-DC converters to Indian vehicle manufacturers and mobility companies. By combining Sinpro’s power-electronics expertise with Solterra’s local distribution, engineering, and electrification capabilities, the companies aim to support faster integration of reliable powertrain systems across EV segments.
The agreement also arrives as Solterra expands its domestic research and manufacturing footprint, strengthening its ability to adapt global technology to Indian operating conditions, OEM requirements, and mobility applications nationwide.
The Solterra Sinpro EV Partnership makes Solterra the exclusive Indian distributor of Sinpro’s EV motors, controllers, and DC-DC converters. It will support Indian OEMs and mobility providers through component supply, engineering integration, and local adaptation.

What the Exclusive Agreement Covers
Under the agreement, Solterra will become the gateway for Sinpro’s EV powertrain products in India. The portfolio will serve vehicle manufacturers, mobility businesses, and companies developing electrified transport solutions.
The collaboration combines Sinpro’s hardware and power-electronics experience with Solterra’s understanding of India’s EV ecosystem. Both companies will work on component integration and application engineering to help customers deploy these technologies in platforms.
Key highlights include:
- Exclusive Indian distribution of Sinpro EV powertrain components
- Access to electric motors, motor controllers, and DC-DC converters
- Engineering assistance for OEM integration and product applications
- Support for EV segments
- Joint Sinpro EV Show Centers planned in Ghaziabad and Bengaluru
Bengaluru R&D Centre to Support Localization
Solterra will inaugurate an R&D facility in Bengaluru on September 18, 2026. The office will support product development, engineering, testing, and adaptation for Indian requirements. It will also serve as a collaboration base for OEMs and technology partners.
The Solterra Sinpro EV Partnership is complemented by Solterra’s manufacturing operations in Chennai and Bengaluru. This domestic footprint could help the company offer stronger technical support while shortening the path from component evaluation to vehicle integration.
Leadership Sees Major Indian Opportunity
Solterra CTO Sagar Bose said technology, performance, and engineering capabilities will shape India’s next mobility phase. He said Sinpro’s proven components expand Solterra’s portfolio, while the Bengaluru R&D office will improve collaboration and development aligned with Indian needs.
Sinpro EV Powertrain Leader Bill Su described India as a dynamic and strategically important electric-mobility market. He said Solterra’s local presence and growing engineering expertise make it a strong partner for bringing Sinpro technology closer to Indian OEMs.
Companies Bring Complementary Expertise
Established in 2022, Solterra produces IP67-rated portable and onboard chargers for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. Its portfolio also includes power modules, EV controllers, communication devices, and deep-tech consulting and design services for automotive and industrial customers.
Founded in 1995, Sinpro Electronics develops power-electronics solutions for industrial applications. Through the Solterra Sinpro EV Partnership, its powertrain technologies will gain distribution and engineering support in India, potentially helping domestic manufacturers access components as the EV industry scales.
