At the upcoming Brussels Motor Show, scheduled from January 10 to 19, 2025, Hyundai Presents Its Biggest EV to date with the European premiere of the all-new IONIQ 9. As Hyundai’s flagship electric SUV, the IONIQ 9 marks a major milestone in the brand’s global electrification journey, reinforcing its ambition to lead the large EV segment with cutting-edge technology, space, and sustainability.

The IONIQ 9 is Hyundai’s largest passenger electric vehicle, measuring over five meters in length and designed to comfortably accommodate six or seven occupants. Built for families and long-distance travelers, the three-row SUV emphasizes flexibility and comfort without compromising performance. Under the floor sits a massive 110.3 kWh battery pack, enabling a projected WLTP range of up to 620 km (385 miles) on a single charge. This positions the IONIQ 9 as one of the longest-range electric SUVs in its class.

Charging efficiency is another highlight. Thanks to Hyundai’s advanced 800-volt electrical architecture, the IONIQ 9 can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger. This makes long journeys more practical and reduces downtime, a critical factor for large EV buyers. With this technology showcase, Hyundai Presents Its Biggest EV as both powerful and future-ready.

Inside, the IONIQ 9 focuses on innovation and user-centric design. Features such as swiveling second-row seats, the “Universal Island 2.0” sliding console, and a panoramic curved display that integrates two 12-inch screens create a lounge-like cabin experience. The interior reflects Hyundai’s vision of EVs as living spaces rather than just vehicles.

Beyond the IONIQ 9, Hyundai’s stand in Hall 6 will feature several important premieres. These include the European debut of the compact INSTER and INSTER Cross electric SUVs, the INITIUM hydrogen fuel cell concept showcasing the new “Art of Steel” design language, and the updated IONIQ 6 with improved aerodynamics and upgraded digital features. Together, these models demonstrate why Hyundai Presents Its Biggest EV within a broader, rapidly expanding electrified lineup.

Hyundai will also host a dedicated N Zone with IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N, alongside the INSTEROID concept—an experimental, game-inspired design study based on the INSTER EV. The official press conference will be held on January 9 at 10:00 AM at the Hyundai stand in Palais 6 (Booth 6.06).

As Belgium’s largest indoor automotive event, the Brussels Motor Show provides the perfect stage for this reveal. With over 64 brands and hundreds of thousands of visitors, Hyundai Presents Its Biggest EV at one of Europe’s most influential automotive platforms, underlining the brand’s bold vision for the electric future.
