Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its electric vehicle lineup by unveiling the Honda QC3 EV Scooter, a new model designed to offer longer range, quicker charging, and a premium riding experience. Introduced alongside Honda’s recently showcased range of ten Made-in-India motorcycles and scooters, the QC3 marks another important milestone in the company’s electric mobility strategy for India. Positioned above the existing QC1, the new scooter is aimed at urban riders seeking better practicality, connected technology, and greater confidence for everyday commuting. Honda QC3 Electric Scooter Unveiled: Honda Raises the Bar with 145 km Range, Faster Charging, and Premium Features highlights Honda’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India’s rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market.

Honda QC3 Offers an Impressive 145 km Riding Range

The biggest highlight of the new scooter is its 145 km claimed IDC-certified riding range, making it the longest-range electric scooter announced by Honda for the Indian market so far. The increased range helps reduce charging frequency and addresses one of the biggest concerns among EV buyers—range anxiety.

Powering the scooter is a 3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery pack, offering a significant improvement over the smaller battery used in the QC1. The larger battery makes the QC3 suitable for longer daily commutes while maintaining practical charging times for regular users.

Faster Charging Improves Everyday Convenience

Honda has focused on making charging more convenient for urban customers. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 2 hours and 40 minutes, while a complete charge takes around 4 hours.

This balance of longer range and faster charging makes the QC3 suitable for overnight home charging as well as workplace charging, ensuring minimal downtime between rides.

Premium Features Enhance the Riding Experience

The Honda QC3 Electric Scooter Unveiled: Honda Raises the Bar with 145 km Range, Faster Charging, and Premium Features story is not just about battery performance. Honda has also equipped the scooter with a comprehensive list of modern features to meet the expectations of today’s connected riders.

Key features include the following:

  • 5-inch TFT colour display
  • Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Call and SMS alerts
  • USB charging port
  • Smart Key system
  • 32-litre under-seat storage

The spacious 32-litre storage compartment can easily accommodate a full-face helmet along with daily essentials, making the scooter highly practical for everyday use.

Comfortable Hardware for Urban Riding

Honda has retained a simple and dependable hardware package focused on comfort and reliability. The QC3 comes equipped with telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake.

Although the company has not yet revealed the motor output or top speed, the overall design suggests that the scooter has been engineered primarily for city commuting, offering a smooth and comfortable riding experience while keeping maintenance costs under control.

Honda Strengthens Its EV Portfolio

With the addition of the QC3, Honda now offers a stronger electric scooter lineup alongside the Activa e and QC1. The QC3 becomes the brand’s flagship electric scooter in terms of battery capacity and claimed riding range, reflecting Honda’s continued investment in locally developed and manufactured electric vehicles.

While pricing and launch details are yet to be announced, the scooter is expected to be positioned above the QC1 and compete in India’s premium electric scooter segment.

With its combination of a 145 km claimed range, fast charging, advanced connectivity, Smart Key technology, and large storage capacity, the Honda QC3 Electric Scooter Unveiled: Honda Raises the Bar with 145 km Range, Faster Charging, and Premium Features positions Honda as a stronger contender in India’s evolving electric mobility landscape.
