Hero Launches Vida EV Brand Globally in Nepal Through Strategic Partnership
The announcement that Hero Launches the Vida EV Brand Globally in Nepal comes as Hero MotoCorp expands its global footprint to 53 countries. The company has partnered with CG Motors, the automotive arm of Nepal’s Chaudhary Group, which operates more than 160 companies and 123 brands worldwide.
The collaboration gives Hero MotoCorp access to a well-established sales and service network in Nepal, allowing the company to introduce its electric mobility solutions with strong local support. This partnership is expected to accelerate EV adoption while strengthening Hero’s international business strategy.

Local Assembly to Support Competitive Pricing
Instead of relying entirely on imported vehicles, Hero MotoCorp will assemble its VIDA electric two-wheelers locally at a manufacturing facility in Nawalpur, Nepal. The assembly plant has a peak production capacity of 75,000 units annually.
Local production is expected to reduce logistics costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and help the company remain competitive by lowering the impact of import duties. It also enables Hero MotoCorp to test its distributor-led EV business model, removable battery technology, and connected vehicle ecosystem outside India.
