In a move set to redefine the EV charging landscape, Edge Energy rolls out a 100kW single-phase fast charging platform, a revolutionary solution breaking the limits of conventional infrastructure. Developed in partnership with Lincoln Electric and DC America, this innovation unlocks ultra-fast charging even in areas lacking three-phase power. With its blend of high performance, cost efficiency, and scalability, the platform promises to bring EV charging to places once considered unreachable. As the world races toward electrification, this milestone from Edge Energy could become the turning point that accelerates widespread EV adoption across cities and rural communities alike.

Revolutionizing EV Charging with Single-Phase Power

Traditionally, high-speed EV chargers require a three-phase power supply, which is often unavailable or costly to install in remote or semi-urban locations. Edge Energy’s latest platform solves this barrier through its proprietary digital phase conversion technology, enabling 100kW of DC fast charging from a standard single-phase connection.

This advancement drastically simplifies installation, reduces infrastructure costs, and eliminates the need for expensive power upgrades—paving the way for faster EV infrastructure deployment where it’s needed most.

Collaboration Driving Innovation

The new system integrates Lincoln Electric’s 50kW Velion DC fast chargers with DC America’s EV charging infrastructure, combining proven technologies into a single, modular, and compact unit. Edge Energy’s solid-state conversion system is the key enabler, digitally converting single-phase power to a level capable of supporting ultra-fast charging.

According to the company, this modular setup allows for easy scalability, meaning that future upgrades or expansions can be done seamlessly without major rewiring or additional power requirements.

Deployment and Market Outlook

Edge Energy plans to begin deployments in the fourth quarter of 2025, with units already available for order. The system’s compact and versatile design makes it ideal for commercial, industrial, and public charging applications—from workplaces and retail centers to fleet depots and municipal charging hubs.

By minimizing setup complexity and installation time, the company anticipates strong adoption among operators seeking high-power charging without heavy infrastructure investment.

Leadership and Vision

Shaun Shuler, CEO of Edge Energy, emphasized that this partnership marks a “major milestone” in advancing sustainable transportation. “By enabling fast charging in previously inaccessible locations, we are helping communities and businesses transition to electric mobility faster and more efficiently,” he noted.

The announcement follows Edge Energy’s US$3.5 million strategic investment from PRETTL Mechatronics & Actuators (PMA), which includes both equity funding and working capital. This financial backing strengthens Edge Energy’s ability to scale manufacturing and deployment in the coming years.
