India has taken a giant leap in defense innovation with the introduction of the Pravaig VEER EV, the nation’s first electric all-terrain tactical vehicle designed specifically for military use. Developed by Bengaluru-based startup Pravaig Dynamics, the VEER marks a historic milestone in India’s journey toward sustainable, indigenous defense technology. Having already completed military trials and earned the prestigious iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) award from the Ministry of Defence, the VEER stands ready for deployment in real-world operations.

Built for the Battlefield

The Pravaig VEER EV is a modular, high-mobility platform built on the company’s Defy SUV chassis, enabling versatile configurations, from reconnaissance and troop transport to medical and combat support roles. This flexibility makes it an adaptable asset across multiple mission profiles.

Powertrain and Performance

Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, the VEER delivers 402 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque, ensuring unmatched power and control across challenging terrains. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed between 120 and 160 km/h, demonstrating that electric mobility can be both silent and swift.

Battery and Range

Powered by a 90.9 kWh (up to 95.6 kWh) lithium-ion battery pack, the VEER offers an impressive 500+ km range on a single charge. Its fast-charging system enables an 80% recharge in roughly 30 minutes, ensuring rapid redeployment in mission-critical situations.

Rugged Capability and Stealth

The VEER’s 233.6 mm ground clearance (up to 260 mm in variants) and 900 mm water-wading capacity allow it to tackle extreme off-road environments. It comes with run-flat tyres, independent double wishbone suspension, and a 4-tonne winch for field recovery. Stealth is its secret weapon; the EV’s silent operation and low thermal signature make it nearly invisible to enemy infrared sensors. Equipped with thermal imaging, 360° cameras, 77GHz radar, and a digital telemetry system, it gives soldiers unmatched situational awareness.

Designed for Defence, Built for India

The VEER is not just a vehicle, it’s a statement of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. Fully developed and manufactured domestically, it ensures complete data and technology sovereignty. With field-repairable components, optional STANAG 1 or 2 level armour, and airlift hooks, the VEER is ready for border patrols, disaster relief, and combat support missions.
