As electric vehicles rapidly become a fixture in modern garages, the question is no longer whether to go electric, but how smart your charging experience can be. That curiosity takes centre stage as Danlaw Launches CleverCharge Home EV Charging System, a breakthrough that promises to redefine convenience, intelligence, and control for everyday EV owners. Designed as a next-generation Level 2 home charger, CleverCharge isn’t just about plugging in—it’s about predicting your needs, optimising energy use, and simplifying life for multi-EV households. With smart automation, real-time insights, and future-ready design, this innovation hints at how home charging is about to change.

According to Danlaw, CleverCharge offers a level of functionality and ease of use not found in traditional residential EV chargers. The system allows users to manage up to four vehicles through a single mobile app, making it ideal for families with multiple EVs in their garage.

One of CleverCharge’s standout features is its patent-pending AI-powered assistant. This intelligent system learns users’ daily driving patterns to predict range needs, sends timely charging reminders, and delivers mobile alerts about optimal charging times when energy rates are lowest. The in-app dashboard also displays real-time battery range in both miles and kilowatt-hours, giving users complete visibility into their vehicle’s charging status.

Scott Bolt, Chief Strategy Officer at Danlaw, emphasised the growing demand for smarter home charging solutions. “With 94% of EV owners likely to consider another electric vehicle for their next purchase, according to a J.D. Power study, we designed CleverCharge to grow with the evolving needs of multi-EV families,” he said. The system combines data from both the vehicle and the charger to provide seamless, intelligent charging guidance.

CleverKey: The Brain Behind Smart Charging

At the heart of the CleverCharge ecosystem is the CleverKey, a patent-pending plug-in device that connects to a vehicle’s OBD-II port. This enables advanced AI features such as scheduled charging, plug-in notifications, battery diagnostics, estimated charging time, and detailed cost analysis for each vehicle. Once connected, CleverCharge automatically identifies the make and model of the vehicle and creates a dedicated user profile.

For users with multiple CleverCharge units across different locations, the app organises each charger and vehicle by location, ensuring smooth management across homes or properties.

Product Specifications at a Glance
