Bajaj Introduces Chetak C25 electric scooter in the Indian market, expanding its popular Chetak EV portfolio with a more affordable option. Launched on January 14, 2026, the new Chetak C25 is priced at ₹91,399 (ex-showroom), making it the most budget-friendly model in the Chetak lineup. With this launch, Bajaj aims to make electric mobility more accessible while retaining the brand’s premium build quality and trusted performance.

Battery, Range and Performance

The Chetak C25 is powered by a 2.5 kWh floorboard-mounted battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 113 km on a single charge. It is paired with a 2.2 kW hub-mounted electric motor, marking a first for the Chetak family. The scooter offers a top speed of 55 kmph, suitable for daily urban commuting.

Charging is convenient, with the battery capable of charging from 0 to 80 per cent in just 2 hours and 25 minutes. A full charge takes approximately 3.45 to 4.25 hours using the supplied 750W off-board charger.

Design, Build Quality and Comfort

Bajaj Introduces Chetak C25 electric scooter with the same neo-retro charm that has defined the Chetak brand. It continues to feature the iconic horseshoe-shaped LED headlamp, a clean apron design, and smooth side panels with refreshed graphics. At the rear, a new horizontal single-unit LED tail lamp replaces the earlier split setup.

The scooter stands out as the only electric scooter in India with a robust, IP67-rated metallic body. It offers a spacious 25-litre under-seat storage and a comfortable 650 mm full-length seat, making it practical for daily use.

Features and Technology

The Chetak C25 comes equipped with a colour LCD display. Smartphone connectivity is available via an optional Tec Pac, enabling call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and music controls. Ride modes include Eco and Sport, along with Reverse mode and Hill Hold Assist. Thanks to this, the scooter can climb a 19 per cent gradient even with two riders onboard.

Suspension, Colours and Availability

Under the skin, Bajaj introduces the Chetak C25 electric scooter with a telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers for a comfortable ride. It is available in six colour options: Racing Red, Misty Yellow, Ocean Teal, Active Black, Opalescent Silver, and Classic White.

Bookings are open online and across more than 390 exclusive stores. The Chetak C25 competes with rivals such as the Ola S1 X, Hero Vida VX2, and TVS Orbiter.
