Following the hike, the Sealion 7 Premium now carries an ex-showroom price of ₹49.40 lakh, up from ₹48.90 lakh. The Performance variant remains unchanged at ₹54.90 lakh. Importantly, BYD India has confirmed booking protection for customers who placed their orders on or before December 31, 2025, ensuring they receive their vehicles at the older prices.

According to Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, the revision is driven by evolving input costs and continued investments in advanced technology, safety systems, and customer infrastructure. Since its launch in February 2025, the Sealion 7 has recorded over 2,300 cumulative sales in India. Competing with premium EVs such as the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and BMW iX1 LWB, the model has carved out a solid position in the segment.
