EV charging software provider Driivz and global commerce platform WEX have joined forces to simplify payment management for commercial electric fleets. How Will the Integration Work?
The collaboration uses the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI), a standard protocol that allows charging and payment systems to communicate. As a Driivz and WEX partner, fleet drivers can use the WEX DriverDash mobile app or a WEX RFID card at Driivz-managed public charging ports.
This approach reduces the need for multiple charging accounts, applications, and payment cards. Drivers and fleet managers can also reserve charging slots at WEX network locations, helping time-sensitive commercial vehicles secure charger availability in advance.
One Platform for Public and Home Charging Bills
The integration addresses one of fleet electrification’s biggest operational challenges: managing expenses across different charging situations. Public charging sessions can be billed directly to the fleet operator, while electricity costs incurred by employees charging take-home fleet vehicles at home can be calculated and reimbursed.
By consolidating these transactions, the platform can deliver transparent reporting and help businesses incorporate EV charging costs into their fleet-management strategy. The solution is particularly relevant to medium- and heavy-duty fleets operating across multiple charging networks.
California Hub Marks First Deployment
The first integration has been completed at an electrification hub in California. The site serves large, medium, and heavy-duty fleet operations, demonstrating how the combined technology can support commercial deployments at scale.
The rollout links WEX’s established fleet-payment infrastructure with Driivz’s smart charging platform, which supports users across 36 countries. As Driivz and WEX partner on wider deployments, the companies aim to provide reliable and scalable charging access through a standardized interface.

Driivz CEO Shiri Levi-Laor said the agreement expands the company’s commitment to reliability, efficiency, scalability, and a positive experience across charging destinations.
WEX Senior Director for EV and Connected Fleet Sarah Booth said fleet electrification is moving beyond the early-adopter phase, meaning operators now require solutions capable of growing with their businesses.
