TVS Motor Company has officially expanded its electric mobility footprint in South Asia with the launch of its first connected passenger electric three-wheeler, the TVS King EV MAX, in Nepal. The launch event took place on May 15, 2026, in Birtamod, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international EV strategy. The announcement—TVS Launches TVS King EV MAX—comes at a time when Nepal is witnessing rapid growth in demand for eco-friendly and zero-emission urban transport solutions.

With this move, TVS aims to strengthen its presence in the region while offering a sustainable alternative to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) three-wheelers.

Powerful Performance with Impressive Range

The highlight of the TVS Launches TVS King EV MAX initiative lies in its strong performance and efficiency. The vehicle is powered by an 11 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that delivers 40 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a robust 9.2 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery, offering a certified range of 179 km on a single charge.

Designed for urban commuting, the three-wheeler can achieve a top speed of 60 km/h and features three driving modes—Eco, City, and Power—allowing drivers to adapt to varying traffic and road conditions. Additionally, it accelerates from 0 to 30 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, ensuring quick mobility in city environments.

Fast Charging and Terrain Capability

Another key advantage highlighted in TVS Launches TVS King EV MAX is its fast-charging capability. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 2 hours and 15 minutes, while a full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

Built for real-world conditions, the vehicle offers 31% gradeability for steep inclines and a 500 mm water-wading capacity, making it suitable for challenging urban terrains and monsoon conditions.

Smart Connectivity and Premium Features

The three-wheeler is equipped with TVS SmartXonnect™, enabling Bluetooth connectivity, real-time navigation, vehicle diagnostics, and call/message alerts. It also features LED headlights, daytime running lamps (DRLs), dual glove boxes, and a spacious, ergonomic cabin designed for passenger comfort.

Strong Market Strategy and Availability

TVS has partnered with Jagdamba Motor Private Ltd. for distribution, ensuring nationwide sales, service, and parts support. The vehicle is currently available at select dealerships, with a full rollout expected by June 2026.

To build customer confidence, TVS is offering an industry-leading 6-year or 150,000 km warranty.

Leadership Insights and Future Outlook

Commenting on the launch, Peyman Kargar emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility, while Madhu Prakash Singh highlighted Nepal as a key growth market.

With TVS launching the TVS King EV MAX, the company reinforces its vision of delivering smart, reliable, and future-ready last-mile mobility solutions, positioning itself strongly in Nepal’s fast-growing EV ecosystem.
