Pickering Unveils Advanced EV Test Solutions as the company prepares to showcase its latest portfolio of modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies at The Battery Show Europe 2026. The event will take place from June 9 to June 11, 2026, at Messe Stuttgart in Germany and is expected to attract leading engineers, automotive manufacturers, battery experts, and technology innovators from across the electrification industry.

At the exhibition, Pickering will demonstrate how its PXI, LXI, and USB-based platforms enable scalable and flexible test systems for a wide range of automotive and electric vehicle applications. These include battery management system (BMS) testing, electronic control unit (ECU) validation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, signal routing, fault insertion, and sensor simulation.

Test System Architect Takes Center Stage

A major highlight of the event will be the company’s recently launched Test System Architect software. This free online graphical tool allows engineers to design, configure, visualize, and document complete signal paths before system deployment. By simplifying switching and cabling design, the software helps reduce development time, minimize errors, and improve collaboration among engineering teams.

As Pickering Unveils Advanced EV Test Solutions, the company aims to address the growing complexity of modern automotive electronics testing and validation.

Real-Time HIL Testing and Advanced Simulation Solutions

Visitors will also experience a live demonstration of real-time HIL testing using a hybrid setup that integrates third-party instrumentation with Pickering’s switching and simulation hardware through NI VeriStand. The demonstration will showcase EV battery management system testing using high-voltage isolation battery simulation, multi-channel battery simulation, thermocouple simulation, fault insertion switching, and programmable high-voltage resistance technologies.

The company will further present scalable LXI switching platforms, including a six-slot LXI 2U chassis that can be configured with multiple matrix modules for customized testing environments.

Supporting the Future of EV and Battery Innovation

According to Steve Edwards, Head of Product Management at Pickering, automotive and EV test systems are becoming increasingly complex due to growing requirements for BMS testing, ECU validation, signal conditioning, load management, and HIL simulation. He emphasized that Pickering’s modular switching and simulation platforms provide the flexibility, scalability, reliability, and long-term support required for these demanding applications.

As Pickering Unveils Advanced EV Test Solutions, the company will also showcase its Switch Path Manager software, new MEMS-based MultiGBASE-T1 fault insertion unit, and LXI/USB modular chassis that allow remote control of PXI and PXIe switching modules through Ethernet or USB connectivity.

Comprehensive Portfolio Backed by Global Expertise

In addition to automotive testing solutions, visitors will be able to explore products from Pickering’s reed relay and connectivity divisions. The company supports its manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.

Pickering Unveils Advanced EV Test Solutions at a time when demand for reliable EV, battery, and energy storage testing continues to grow globally. With one of the industry’s largest ranges of switching and simulation products for PXI, LXI, and PCI applications, the company serves sectors including automotive, aerospace, defense, energy, industrial automation, communications, medical technology, and semiconductors.

The Battery Show Europe 2026, held alongside the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo and the Energy Storage Summit, provides an ideal platform for showcasing innovations that will shape the future of Europe’s battery, electric vehicle, and energy storage ecosystem.
