Anda Expands Aluminium Die-Casting Capacity for EV Growth

China’s automotive supplier Anda expands its aluminium die-casting capacity to support growing demand for lightweight automotive components for both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. The expansion comes as global automakers increasingly adopt aluminium die-cast parts to reduce vehicle weight, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance. The investment also reflects the industry’s shift toward advanced manufacturing technologies and faster product development.

Major Capacity Expansion Underway in Huzhou

As part of its long-term growth strategy, Anda is expanding aluminum die-casting capacity at its manufacturing facility in Huzhou, China. The first phase of the expansion is already operating at high utilization, while the second phase is scheduled for full commissioning by the end of 2026.

Once both phases are completed, the project will add approximately three million aluminium die-cast components to the company’s annual production capacity. According to the company, the expansion is designed to eliminate current production bottlenecks while fulfilling a strong order backlog already secured through the second half of 2026.

The move positions Anda to meet increasing demand from automotive manufacturers that require lightweight, precision-engineered aluminium components for next-generation vehicles.

Focus on EV Components and Lightweight Manufacturing

Anda manufactures a wide range of precision aluminium die-cast products that are essential for modern vehicle platforms. Its product portfolio includes:

  • Inverter housings
  • Electric motor housings
  • Oil pans
  • Suspension components

These lightweight components play a vital role in improving vehicle efficiency, battery performance, and driving range in electric vehicles while also supporting fuel efficiency in conventional automobiles.

The company supplies several major automotive manufacturers, including leading Chinese EV brands NIO and Leapmotor, strengthening its position in the rapidly expanding electric mobility supply chain.

New R&D Centre to Accelerate Product Development

Alongside expanding production, Anda is investing in innovation by establishing a new research and development centre.

The company plans to bring tool and mold development entirely in-house, reducing pilot production and product development timelines by nearly one-third. This integrated engineering approach will enable faster prototype development, improved manufacturing efficiency, and quicker delivery of new components for future vehicle programs.

Dedicated production lines for electric vehicle components are also being added to support upcoming customer projects and growing EV demand.

Strong Financial Growth Supports Expansion

The expansion is backed by solid financial performance. During fiscal year 2025, Anda reported:

  • Revenue: CNY 1.015 billion (approximately USD 150 million), up 11.4% year over year.
  • Net Profit: CNY 69.5 million (approximately USD 10.26 million), representing 20.1% annual growth.

Following its listing on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) in 2024, the company is now preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Beijing Stock Exchange, further supporting its long-term expansion plans.

Industry Trend: Aluminium Die Casting Powers the EV Future

As Anda expands aluminium die-casting capacity, the company is aligning with a broader transformation taking place across the global automotive industry. Automakers such as Toyota, BYD, and NIO are increasingly adopting large-scale aluminium die-casting technologies to reduce component counts, simplify vehicle production, and improve structural efficiency.

The investment also highlights a growing trend among Chinese automotive suppliers to integrate engineering, tooling, research, and manufacturing under one roof. This strategy enables faster vehicle development cycles while improving competitiveness in the global EV supply chain.

With higher production capacity, dedicated EV manufacturing lines, and enhanced research capabilities, Anda expands aluminum die-casting capacity to strengthen its role as a key supplier of lightweight automotive components for the next generation of electric and conventional vehicles.
