Simple Energy launches Generation 2 scooter range: Bengaluru-based electric mobility innovator, Simple Energy, has unveiled its Generation 2 scooter range, introducing upgraded variants of the Simple One and Simple Ones, along with an all-new flagship model, the Simple Ultra. With this launch, the company now offers four electric scooters catering to diverse rider needs and performance expectations.
Introducing the New Models
The Simple Ultra sets a new benchmark in India’s electric two-wheeler market with an IDC-certified range of 400 km, powered by a 6.5 kWh battery — the largest capacity currently available on an Indian electric scooter. It achieves a top speed of 115 kmph and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. The model is already open for pre-bookings at select showrooms.

The Simple One Gen 2 comes in two battery options. The 4.5 kWh variant offers 236 km of IDC-certified range at INR 1,69,999, while the 5 kWh variant delivers 265 km and a top speed of 115 kmph for INR 1,77,999. The Simple Ones Gen 2, designed for urban commuters, has a 3.7 kWh battery, a 190 km range, and is priced at INR 1,49,999. For a limited period, the Gen 2 lineup starts at INR 1,39,999.
Performance and Features
The Gen 2 scooters have been upgraded for real-world reliability. The Simple One Gen 2 features peak motor power of 8.8 kW, six riding modes, combined disc brakes on both wheels, and improved acceleration. Additional updates include traction control, cruise control, four levels of regenerative braking, a revised dashboard, a 1-litre glove box, a dedicated charging port, and 35 litres of underseat storage. The seat height is now lowered to 780 mm for enhanced comfort.
The Simple Ones Gen 2 delivers 6.5 kW of peak power, 52 Nm torque, a 0-40 kmph acceleration of 3 seconds, and a kerb weight of 118 kg. Both models feature LTE-enabled connectivity via a 5G e-SIM, app integration, over-the-air updates, and navigation support.
Warranty, Charging, and Availability
All Gen 2 scooters come with a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery, a three-year or 30,000 km vehicle warranty, and a three-year or 20,000 km home charger warranty. Home charging is supported with a 750W portable charger.
The scooters are available at over 61 showrooms across India, including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Kochi, and can also be purchased online via e-commerce platforms.
Expanding the Electric Mobility Ecosystem
With this launch, Simple Energy launches the Generation 2 scooter range that prioritizes range, performance, and technology. Founder & CEO Suhas Rajkumar emphasised that the portfolio caters to diverse rider segments, delivering confidence, freedom, and anxiety-free mobility. The company aims to expand to 150 dealerships and 200 service centres by March 2026 and is preparing for an IPO in FY27.
