Saudi Arabia has entered the global passenger electric vehicle race with Ceer’s models, the Exobot sedan and Exobot SUV. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman unveiled both vehicles on September 21, 2026, at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City. Positioned as a flagship luxury performance range, the Ceer Exobot EV combines dramatic gullwing doors, power, advanced cabin technology, and up to 670km of claimed driving range. The premiere represents a major step in Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop domestic manufacturing, create new industries, and reduce the Kingdom’s economic dependence on oil exports over the coming decades.

The Exobot is Ceer’s debut model family, comprising a 1,111 hp sedan and SUV. Both use 112 kWh batteries, while Saudi sales and deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027.

Supercar Performance Meets Long Range

The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and offers a claimed 670km range. The SUV completes the sprint in 2.4 seconds and promises 560km. Each produces 1,111 hp and 1,500 Nm.

Key specifications:

  • Battery: 112 kWh
  • Body styles: Sedan and SUV
  • Doors: Gullwing design with a 60cm opening arc
  • Structure: Aluminum space frame with cell-to-pack battery technology
  • Safety: Seven airbags and advanced driver assistance

Bold Design Engineered for Saudi Heat

The 5.26-meter sedan and 5.02-metre SUV are 2.1 meters wide, while their respective heights are 1.43 and 1.69 metres. Their wedge-shaped bodies eliminate the B-pillar and use high-strength materials for rigidity. Triangular wheels draw inspiration from Saudi window patterns.

Ceer says the 2.4-meter windscreen is the largest in a private passenger vehicle. Angled at 15 degrees, its reflective laminated glass limits solar heat. Dual-zone front-and-rear cooling can reportedly lower cabin temperature from 65°C to 32°C within 10 minutes.

Digital Cabin and Driver Technology

The Ceer Exobot EV features a 48-inch curved 8K dashboard display, a 10.4-inch touchscreen, and an 8-inch rear screen. Steer-by-wire reduces steering movement from 400 to 160 degrees, supported by rear-wheel steering. Physical controls remain for gears, climate, and volume.

Other highlights include:

  • Arabic and English voice assistance
  • Over-the-air software updates
  • Smartwatch-based digital key
  • Remote charging status and cabin pre-conditioning
  • Automated lane changes and highway driving assistance
  • 360-degree audio and an optional cabin fragrance system

Global Technology, Saudi Manufacturing

Founded in 2022, Ceer is a joint venture between the Public Investment Fund and Foxconn. Foxconn supplies the platform and electrical architecture, BMW-licensed technology, Rimac Technology provides the rear drive unit, and Hyundai Transys supplies the front motors.

Production will occur at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex, described as the Middle East’s largest factory. The Ceer Exobot EV leads a seven-model rollout planned over five years, including midsize and compact vehicles. By 2034, Ceer is projected to contribute $8 billion to Saudi GDP and $21 billion to the trade balance.

When Will Sales Begin?

Saudi sales and deliveries are planned for early 2027. With striking design, extreme performance, and local production, the Ceer Exobot EV establishes an ambitious benchmark for Saudi Arabia’s emerging automotive industry.
