BYD has introduced its new flagship luxury electric sedan, the Da Han EV, also known as the Great Han, with impressive battery technology, ultra-fast charging, and premium features. Designed to challenge established luxury electric cars, the sedan combines exceptional driving range with powerful performance and advanced driver assistance. BYD Da Han EV Launched in China on October 13, 2026, with three variants and competitive pricing. Its headline specifications include a claimed 1,008 km CLTC range and charging from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes under ideal conditions, potentially setting new expectations for long-range electric mobility.

What Makes the BYD Da Han EV Special?

The BYD Da Han EV is a flagship electric sedan offering a claimed 1,008 km CLTC range, a 102.3 kWh Blade Battery, a 1,000 V charging architecture, up to 764 hp, and nine-minute charging from 10% to 97%. China prices start at 235,900 yuan.

1,008 KM Range and Revolutionary Flash Charging

The sedan uses BYD’s second-generation 102.3 kWh Blade Battery and advanced 1,000 V architecture, supporting megawatt-class charging.

Major battery highlights:

  • 1,008 km CLTC range for rear-wheel-drive variants.
  • 880 km CLTC range for the all-wheel-drive model.
  • Approximately 816 km and 713 km, respectively, in estimated WLTP equivalents.
  • 10–70% charging in five minutes.
  • 10–97% charging in nine minutes under optimal conditions.

Actual driving range and charging speeds depend on temperature, infrastructure, and operating conditions.

Powerful Performance Meets Aerodynamic Luxury

The BYD Da Han EV was launched in China with two powerful electric powertrain configurations.

The rear-wheel-drive model produces 496 hp and 500 Nm, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the dual-motor AWD version generates 764 hp and 910 Nm, completing the same sprint in 3.3 seconds.

Measuring 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,510 mm tall, the sedan features a 3,130 mm wheelbase.

Its aerodynamic design achieves a 0.197 Cd drag coefficient, complemented by a 2.41-meter lighting assembly containing 249 LEDs.

Standard DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, road-preview technology, rear-wheel steering, and crab-walk capability enhance maneuverability. Its minimum turning radius is just 4.95 metres.

Premium Interior and Intelligent Driving Technology

Inside, BYD combines luxury materials with advanced digital technology.

Key cabin highlights include:

  • 17.3-inch 3K central touchscreen.
  • 12.3-inch driver and passenger displays.
