India’s electric scooter market has a new entrant combining Italian styling, removable batteries, and an ambitious range claim. VLF India has introduced the Strada through MotoHaus India, targeting buyers seeking premium design and everyday practicality. With the VLF Strada Electric Scooter Launched at introductory prices starting from Rs 1.20 lakh, attention now turns to its two battery options and equipment.

The higher-specification Max variant claims up to 250km, while the more affordable City promises 130km. Prebookings cost Rs 999, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026, giving prospective owners time to compare variants before making their purchase decisions.

Price Range and Bookings

VLF Strada Electric Scooter Launched in India with City and Max variants, priced around Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. Claimed IDC ranges are 130km and 250km. Bookings require Rs 999, with deliveries expected from November 2026.

Two Variants: Know What Your Money Buys

  • Strada City: A 2.16kWh LFP battery delivers a claimed 130km range.
  • Strada Max: A 4.32 kWh LFP battery setup increases claimed range to 250km.
  • Price distinction: The 250km claim belongs to Max, rather than the entry variant.
  • Booking window: Prebookings are open through the official booking platform.

These are Indian Driving Cycle figures, not guaranteed everyday distances. Actual range depends on speed, riding conditions, rider weight, and battery usage. Buyers should match the battery configuration to their regular commute.

Three Riding Modes and 85 km/h Performance

The Strada uses a BLDC hub motor rated at 4.8kW peak power and 34Nm peak torque. Riders can choose Eco, City or Sport, with respective speed limits of 45km/h, 65km/h and 85km/h.

Its removable, swappable LFP battery arrangement adds charging flexibility. Published specifications indicate approximately three to six hours for charging from 20% to 100%, depending on configuration. Conflicting reports mention charging in under two hours; buyers should confirm the supplied charger and applicable conditions before relying on that figure.

Italian Looks Meet Everyday Equipment

Motorcycle-inspired styling includes twin projector LED lighting, integrated indicators, a tall transparent windscreen and a stepped two-piece seat. A raised tail and integrated luggage rack complete the design.

Equipment includes a five-inch TFT console, keyless entry, an illuminated ignition switch, and USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports. Seat height is 780mm.

Larger Wheels and Combined Braking

A 16-inch front wheel and 14-inch rear wheel support the scooter. Braking uses a 240mm front disc with a three-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper, supported by CBS.

Four Colors and Premium Competition

Colour choices include Carbonio Black, Urbano Silver, Titanio Grey and Luna White. The Strada enters the premium electric scooter segment alongside models such as Yamaha EC-06 and Suzuki E-Access.

With the VLF Strada Electric Scooter Launched, buyers gain another option combining distinctive styling and battery flexibility. Final variant pricing, charger specifications, and local delivery availability deserve confirmation before purchase. A dealership test ride can aid selection.
