Europe’s shift toward electric freight transport is gaining momentum as charging operators look for faster and more flexible ways to support heavy-duty fleets. Milence and Depotcharge have announced a partnership designed to connect public fast-charging hubs with privately operated depot chargers across Europe. The collaboration will allow electric truck fleet operators to access participating Depotcharge facilities through the Milence network, creating a broader charging ecosystem without requiring separate billing arrangements.
Germany will become the first market for the integrated service before the model expands across Europe. The partnership could simplify route planning, improve charger availability, and accelerate the transition to zero-emission commercial trucking.
Milence and Depotcharge are combining public and private electric truck charging networks. Germany will pilot the integrated service, allowing Milence customers to access Depotcharge locations with unified billing before the network expands across Europe.

Public and Private Charging Under One Network
Milence operates fast-charging hubs along major European logistics corridors, while Depotcharge connects unused private depot charging capacity with third-party fleets through a B2B marketplace.
Under the agreement, Milence customers will gain access to participating Depotcharge sites. Charges from private facilities will be integrated into the fleet operator’s existing Milence billing system, giving customers one consolidated monthly bill.
This approach is particularly important for electric trucks, where reliable charging availability is critical for long-distance freight operations and delivery schedules.
Germany to Lead the European Rollout
Germany will be the first market to introduce the integrated “Milence+Depotcharge” system. The country has strong activity from both companies, making it a logical starting point for the partnership.
Eventually, fleet operators are expected to access public and private charging locations across Europe through a single platform. Real-time availability information from Depotcharge could also help fleet managers make better route and charging decisions.
Different Models, One Charging Ecosystem
Milence currently operates 34 charging hubs across eight European countries and is developing another 16 facilities. The company expects to have 90 operational charging hubs by the end of 2028.
Its network includes high-performance Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology aimed at heavy-duty electric trucks.
Depotcharge, meanwhile, allows private depot owners to control when their chargers are available, which fleets can use them, and how much they charge. Typical private-site pricing ranges from €0.25 to €0.39 per kWh.

Strong Financial Backing for Expansion
The partnership comes as both companies strengthen their financial positions. Milence secured a €120 million financing facility in May 2026 from BRIDGE, Íslandsbanki, Invest-NL, and Invest International. This adds to its initial €500 million equity backing from Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP, and Volvo Group.
Depotcharge has also raised €2.7 million in pre-seed funding, led by High-Tech Gründerfonds alongside logistics and e-mobility investors.
For Milence and Depotcharge, the partnership creates a scalable model that could make electric truck charging more accessible across Europe.
As more private and public facilities join the ecosystem, Milence and Depotcharge could help address one of electric freight transport’s biggest challenges: ensuring trucks can recharge reliably wherever their routes take them.
