Taiwanese electronics giant Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, has unveiled three electric vehicle reference models at Hon Hai Tech Day 2026 in Taipei on October 30. The additions include two SUVs and a compact commercial truck, taking its reference vehicle portfolio to 12. The Foxconn New EV Models 2026 showcase the company’s growing ambitions beyond electronics manufacturing, with designs intended for automakers rather than direct consumer sales.
Targeting premium SUV buyers, younger drivers, and commercial fleets, these vehicles highlight flexible platforms, customization, and cost efficiency as Foxconn strengthens its position in the global electric mobility industry worldwide.

What Did Foxconn Unveil at HHTD26?
Foxconn introduced MODEL A+, a premium SUV; MODEL K+, an affordable lifestyle SUV; and MODEL K, a compact electric kei truck. All three are reference designs offered to automotive manufacturing partners, not confirmed retail launches.
Three New Electric Vehicles Explained
MODEL A+: Premium SUV With Backup Power
Designed for the B-segment SUV market, MODEL A+ combines expressive styling with a spacious, adaptable interior. Key highlights include:
- In-wheel motor technology and selectable electrical/electronic architecture.
- Potential backup power and temporary living-space applications for camping or emergencies.
- A premium positioning aimed at affluent customers and outdoor enthusiasts.
MODEL K+: Affordable, Customizable Lifestyle SUV
MODEL K+ targets younger buyers with retro-futuristic styling inspired by Japan’s 1970s and 1980s city-pop culture. Its in-wheel motors and adaptable platform allow manufacturers to personalize exterior design, interiors, driving range and electronic architecture. Foxconn positions it as a distinctive, cost-competitive option for automotive brands.
MODEL K: Electric Kei Truck for Urban Deliveries
Built around Japan’s compact commercial kei-vehicle category, MODEL K targets last-mile logistics, mobility services and municipal fleets. Inspired by Foxconn’s MODEL T electric bus, its concept features a lower loading bed, extended cargo area and canopy-ready configuration. Lower energy and maintenance expenses could reduce total cost of ownership.
Foxconn’s Bigger EV Manufacturing Strategy
The Foxconn New EV Models 2026 are central to its contract design and manufacturing service (CDMS) strategy. Rather than launching a consumer-facing car brand, Foxconn wants automakers to adopt its reference platforms, potentially reducing development costs and accelerating market entry.
At HHTD26, the company also displayed Taiwan-developed battery materials, cells, packs and battery management systems, alongside vehicle electronic architectures and electric two- and three-wheeler powertrains. A right-hand-drive MODEL B demonstrated previous development collaboration. Representatives from Honda R&D and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility separately discussed electromobility work with Foxconn.
EV Portfolio Reaches 12 Models
The three unveilings join nine existing reference vehicles: the MODEL T bus, the MODEL C SUV, the MODEL E luxury sedan, the MODEL B crossover, the MODEL V truck, the MODEL N cargo van, the MODEL D multipurpose vehicle, the MODEL U midi-bus, and the modular MODEL A.
What Happens Next?
The Foxconn New EV Models 2026 underline its push into underserved passenger and commercial segments. However, Foxconn has not announced customer launch dates, production volumes or final prices for these three vehicles. Commercial availability depends on adoption by automotive partners and subsequent manufacturing agreements.
