Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) is stepping up its mobility ambitions with a major investment of ₹57 crore aimed at expanding its operations and EV business. The Pune-based automotive company will deploy the funds across its electric two-wheeler subsidiary and driveline component operations. The move comes as Kinetic Engineering EV Expansion gains momentum, supported by new export orders, a widening dealer network and renewed focus on its Kinetic DX and DX+ electric scooters.
The funding is expected to strengthen capacity, technology, and market reach as KEL seeks to establish itself among India’s top 10 electric vehicle brands in the coming years.
Kinetic Engineering is investing ₹57 crore, with ₹40 crore going to Kinetic Watts & Volts and ₹17 crore toward driveline capex and export orders.
₹57 Crore Investment: Where the Money Goes
The investment is the final tranche of converting 44,51,000 promoter warrants issued in March 2025. Of the total, ₹40 crore will go to Kinetic Watts & Volts Limited (KWV), taking EV-arm investment to around ₹135 crore. Funds will support the revived Kinetic DX and DX+ electric scooters.
The remaining ₹17 crore will fund capex for driveline component export orders from Europe and Mexico, valued at approximately ₹500 crore over seven years.

Auto Components Add Another Growth Engine
Kinetic Engineering EV Expansion also runs alongside KEL’s components business. Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, said KEL is entering a new growth phase, with a healthy order pipeline and a target of around 12% EBITDA margins.
KEL has more than five decades of manufacturing experience and operates a component facility in Ahilyanagar. It supplies components to Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Renault, American Axle, Magna Powertrain and Sonalika Tractors.
Headquartered in Chinchwad, Pune, KEL is listed on the BSE under code 500240. The ₹57 crore investment strengthens Kinetic Engineering EV Expansion and its export-oriented components business, while strengthening KEL’s long-term position across India’s electric mobility market.
