Telangana floats tenders for 369 EV charging stations as the state expands its public charging infrastructure. The Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) has invited charge point operators to develop and manage the network under long-term contracts.

Of the facilities, 200 will be installed across the Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri municipal areas. Another 169 stations will serve the Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited region, strengthening availability beyond the capital.

Tender Timeline and Locations

TGREDCO said pre-bid meetings for the 200-station and 169-station packages would be held on Monday at 11 am and 11:30 am, respectively. Applications can be submitted through Telangana’s e-Procurement portal between September 8 and September 22.

Telangana floats tenders for 369 EV stations through two projects. Hyderabad’s 200 chargers will be divided into six clusters. The remaining 169 stations will be developed at 16 locations across the erstwhile districts of Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Adilabad.

₹13 Tariff and 10-Year Contracts

Selected operators will receive 10-year contracts covering surveys, design, equipment supply, civil works, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and upgrades. Eligible bidders may also receive support under the PM E-DRIVE scheme, subject to applicable conditions.

Telangana floats tenders for 369 EV stations with the consumer tariff fixed at ₹13 per unit plus GST for the entire contract period. Hyderabad stations must maintain at least 95% uptime, supporting reliable access for electric vehicle users.

Why the Expansion Matters

TGREDCO Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqui said Telangana’s national highways and transport corridors make it attractive for EV investment. Rapid urbanization, changing lifestyles, and growing dependence on personal vehicles are also increasing EV demand. Telangana floats tenders for 369 EV stations to address this growth while creating a stronger statewide electric-mobility ecosystem.
