Driivz Powers Iberdrola through a new strategic partnership that will transform electric vehicle (EV) charging operations across Spain and Portugal. Driivz, a Vontier company, has signed an agreement with Iberdrola | bp pulse to manage and optimize more than 2,500 fast and ultra-fast EV chargers across the Iberian Peninsula. The collaboration aims to improve charger reliability, operational efficiency, and customer experience while creating a future-ready charging network capable of supporting rapid EV adoption.

Strategic Migration to a Smarter EV Charging Platform
As part of the agreement, the 50:50 joint venture between Iberdrola and BP is migrating its complete charging infrastructure to the cloud-based Driivz platform. This strategic move is designed to provide a stronger, more scalable digital foundation that supports long-term growth and innovation.
The platform offers real-time analytics, enabling operators to monitor charger availability, uptime, hardware performance, charging sessions, and usage patterns from a centralized dashboard. According to Iberdrola | bp pulse, the migration is focused on delivering the high level of reliability expected by the Iberian EV market.
Advanced Features for Future EV Growth
Driivz Powers Iberdrola with an API-first architecture that integrates smart energy management, advanced billing, multi-market charging operations, and driver self-service capabilities. The platform is also designed to support next-generation technologies, including Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) integration and coordinated charging, allowing the network to adapt as EV technology evolves.
These capabilities will help optimize energy usage, improve charging efficiency, and prepare the infrastructure for future mobility demands across Europe.
Addressing Industry Challenges
The partnership comes at a time when EV charging operators face growing operational challenges. According to the 2026 State of EV Charging Network Operators Report by Driivz, 59% of operators identify charger reliability and stability as the industry’s biggest challenge, while another 59% believe increasing charger utilization is the most important factor for improving profitability.
The report also found that 67% of operators consider artificial intelligence either very important or critical for future business growth, highlighting the industry’s shift toward intelligent, data-driven charging management.
A Major Step for Europe’s EV Ecosystem
Driivz Powers Iberdrola by delivering a scalable and intelligent software platform that supports consumer drivers, corporate fleets, hospitality businesses, retail locations, and workplace charging solutions. The collaboration is expected to improve network performance, maximize charger availability, and enhance the overall charging experience for EV users throughout Spain and Portugal.
With digital management, smart energy optimization, and future-ready technology at its core, Driivz Powers Iberdrola marks an important milestone in expanding reliable EV charging infrastructure across the Iberian Peninsula and supporting Europe’s transition toward sustainable transportation.
