Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) consolidates EV charging brands under a unified global strategy while expanding its manufacturing footprint in the Middle East with a new EV charger production facility in Saudi Arabia. The move reflects the company’s growing focus on electric mobility, localized manufacturing, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious electrification goals under Vision 2030.

FIT Unveils One Mobility to Unite Global EV Charging Business

In a significant step toward strengthening its electric vehicle business, FIT consolidates EV charging brands under its newly launched umbrella brand, One Mobility. Introduced at The smarter E Europe 2026, the new brand combines the company’s automotive platforms, EV charging technologies, and connectivity solutions into a single global identity.

The consolidation follows FIT’s strategic acquisitions of Germany-based Prettl SWH Group, now operating as FIT Voltaira, in 2023 and Auto-Kabel Group in 2024. These acquisitions have expanded FIT’s expertise in EV connectivity, charging systems, and automotive components, allowing the company to offer integrated mobility solutions across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia Plant to Strengthen Local EV Charger Supply

Alongside its global brand strategy, FIT consolidates EV charging brands while accelerating localized production through its joint venture, Smart Mobility. The venture was established in partnership with Saleh Suleiman Alrajhi and Sons to manufacture EV charging equipment within Saudi Arabia.

The company is building a dedicated manufacturing facility at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), which will become FIT’s first production base in the Middle East. The plant will produce locally manufactured, SASO-certified AC EV chargers, helping reduce dependence on imports while improving regional supply chain efficiency.

Commercial operations have already begun following the successful certification of the chargers by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).

Vision 2030 Drives Demand for Local EV Infrastructure

Saudi Arabia’s national electrification strategy is a key factor behind the investment. Under Vision 2030, the Kingdom aims to have 30% of vehicles on its roads electrified by 2030, creating significant demand for reliable EV charging infrastructure.

According to Smart Mobility CEO Prince Fahad bin Nawaf Al Saud, achieving this target requires extensive charging networks supported by domestic manufacturing. Producing EV chargers within Saudi Arabia will help ensure a stable supply while supporting the country’s broader clean energy and industrial localization objectives.

FIT’s Mobility Business Continues to Expand

The Saudi manufacturing project builds on FIT’s expanding automotive mobility business. Following its European acquisitions, the company has steadily increased its presence in EV connectivity and charging technologies.

FIT Chairman Sidney Lu stated that the company’s automotive mobility segment is expected to generate approximately $700 million in revenue this year, highlighting the growing importance of EV-related products within its overall business. Although this figure includes multiple automotive components beyond charging equipment, it demonstrates FIT’s confidence in the long-term growth of the electric mobility market.

Smart Mobility Factory Timeline

Construction of the Smart Mobility manufacturing facility is scheduled to begin in December, with commercial production expected to start in 2026. Once operational, the factory will supply EV chargers throughout Saudi Arabia and neighboring Middle Eastern markets, strengthening regional manufacturing capabilities and supporting the rapid expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure.

Why This Expansion Matters

The decision to establish local manufacturing represents more than a factory investment. It reflects a broader shift toward regional supply chains, faster product availability, and greater resilience in the rapidly growing EV industry. As governments worldwide invest in cleaner transportation, localized production has become increasingly important for meeting demand while reducing logistics costs and supply chain disruptions.

By combining global expertise with regional manufacturing, FIT consolidates EV charging brands into a unified business while positioning itself as a leading supplier of EV charging solutions. With One Mobility, strategic acquisitions, and its first Middle East manufacturing base, the company is well-positioned to support the accelerating transition toward electric mobility across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.
