Hyundai introduces INSTER Lounge as the newest flagship variant of its all-electric INSTER lineup, offering a premium-inspired driving experience in the compact A-segment EV category. Building on the success of the standard INSTER and the adventure-focused INSTER Cross, the new Lounge model combines upscale interior materials, enhanced comfort, exclusive styling, and exceptional flexibility without compromising practicality.
Positioned as the most refined version of Hyundai’s compact electric SUV, the INSTER Lounge is designed for urban drivers seeking a more sophisticated, comfortable, and personalized mobility experience. Hyundai says the model expands the appeal of its best-selling A-segment electric vehicle in Europe while maintaining the efficiency and everyday usability that made the INSTER lineup popular.

Premium Interior Creates a Relaxing Lounge-Like Experience
One of the biggest highlights as Hyundai introduces INSTER Lounge is its upgraded cabin, designed around the concept of creating “a space of one’s own.” The interior receives a premium treatment with a combination of cloth and leather upholstery, a knitted headliner, carefully integrated Mint Green accents, and improved tactile materials throughout the cabin.
Natural leather seats and premium speakers equipped with Kevlar membranes further elevate the in-car experience, while the intuitive dashboard layout ensures easy access to essential controls. Standard 10.25-inch digital displays for both the infotainment system and instrument cluster enhance convenience and connectivity.
Flexible Cabin Offers Everyday Practicality
Despite its compact dimensions, the INSTER Lounge delivers remarkable versatility. The front seats fold completely flat, while the second-row seats can slide and recline to accommodate passengers or additional luggage. An adjustable luggage board further increases cargo flexibility, making the vehicle suitable for daily commuting, shopping trips, and weekend adventures alike.
Hyundai also offers optional wireless charging pads along with a range of genuine accessories, including roof racks and interior storage solutions, allowing owners to customize the vehicle according to their lifestyle.
Exclusive Exterior Styling Sets It Apart
When Hyundai introduces INSTER Lounge, the model also receives several distinctive design upgrades that separate it from the standard INSTER. A redesigned front radiator and bumper grille create a stronger road presence, while exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels and silver side claddings add a premium appearance.
The Lounge variant also debuts an exclusive Glow Mint exterior colour alongside Atlas White, Unbleached Ivory, Tomboy Khaki, and Abyss Black Pearl. Inside, buyers can choose a unique Dark Grey and Mint Green colour theme with Glow Mint accents, reinforcing the model’s upscale identity.
Battery, Performance, and Driving Range
The INSTER Lounge will be available with two electric powertrain options. The entry configuration pairs a 42 kWh battery with a 71 kW (97 PS) electric motor, while the higher variant combines a 49 kWh battery with an 84 kW (115 PS) motor.
Depending on the selected configuration, the electric SUV delivers a WLTP-certified driving range of up to approximately 360 km on a single charge. Fast-charging capability enables the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes under optimal conditions, making it ideal for everyday city driving and longer journeys.
Production and Availability
Hyundai introduces the INSTER Lounge with production scheduled to begin in June 2026, followed by phased market launches across Europe. Local pricing, specifications, and availability will be announced separately by Hyundai’s regional markets closer to launch.
With premium-inspired comfort, exclusive styling, adaptable seating, and practical electric performance, the Hyundai INSTER Lounge aims to raise expectations for compact electric SUVs while delivering a refined driving experience in the growing A-segment EV market.
