In a remarkable achievement for a young automaker, Xiaomi EV reached 6 lakh EV deliveries just 22 months after handing over its first car on April 3, 2024. Officially surpassing the 600,000 mark on February 13, 2026, the company has rapidly transformed from a smartphone giant into one of China’s fastest-growing new-energy vehicle (NEV) brands.
From Tech Giant to EV Powerhouse
Xiaomi officially entered the automotive manufacturing sector on March 30, 2021. Although considered a late entrant among emerging EV manufacturers, the company wasted no time building momentum. Its first electric sedan, the SU7, was launched on March 28, 2024, directly competing with the Tesla Model 3.

The brand expanded its lineup with the high-performance SU7 Ultra in February 2025 and later introduced the YU7 SUV in June 2025, positioned against the Tesla Model Y. This strategic product expansion laid the foundation for Xiaomi EV’s rapid delivery growth.
Strong Delivery Performance and Rapid Scaling
The journey to this milestone has been nothing short of impressive. In 2024, Xiaomi EV delivered 139,471 vehicles. That number surged dramatically in 2025, reaching 411,837 deliveries—well above the company’s revised target of 350,000 units.
Monthly deliveries peaked in December 2025 at 50,212 units, marking a record-breaking performance. Notably, it took the company less than two years to scale to this level, and roughly 19 months to achieve its first quarterly profit in the EV business.
Initially, the SU7 sedan was the main contributor to sales, delivering 258,164 units in 2025. However, after its mid-2025 launch, the YU7 SUV quickly became the brand’s primary growth engine, delivering 153,673 units in 2025 alone. By January 2026, the YU7 accounted for 97% of monthly deliveries, with 39,002 units sold.
This extraordinary pace underscores how Xiaomi EV reaches 600,000 vehicle deliveries faster than many early industry forecasts predicted.
Product Evolution and 2026 Strategy
As part of its product refresh strategy, the first-generation SU7 has ceased production. Pre-orders for the updated facelifted SU7 began on January 7, with the official launch scheduled for April. This upgrade is expected to sustain demand and strengthen competitiveness.
Looking ahead, founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun has set an ambitious target of 550,000 deliveries in 2026—approximately 34% growth over 2025. To achieve this, Xiaomi plans to introduce at least four new models in 2026, including the refreshed SU7, an executive edition, and two extended-range (EREV) SUVs.
While 2026 will focus on strengthening domestic market presence, international expansion—particularly into Europe—is tentatively planned for 2027.
With sustained innovation, strong production ramp-up, and expanding product offerings, Xiaomi EV reaches 600,000 vehicle deliveries not just as a milestone, but as a signal of its growing influence in the global EV landscape.
