Curious to know where you can experience TVS’s newest electric sensation? TVS Orbiter E-Scooter Test Rides Begin in four major Indian cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru — giving enthusiasts a first-hand feel of this futuristic, affordable EV. Launched on August 28, 2025, the Orbiter marks TVS Motor Company’s bold move to make smart, stylish, and practical electric mobility accessible across India.

Affordable, Modern & Urban-Focused

Positioned below the TVS iQube, the Orbiter serves as the brand’s entry-level electric scooter, priced at ₹99,900 (ex-showroom) and ₹1,04,900 without subsidies. It targets urban family riders seeking practicality, range, and modern design. The Orbiter’s dimensions include a 165 mm ground clearance and a 763 mm saddle height, offering comfort for riders of varying heights.

Design: A Sporty Twist to Practicality

While the iQube leans towards a conventional look, the Orbiter brings a youthful, modern design with a distinct LED headlamp setup and DRL strip. The sharp body lines blend futuristic styling with subtle traditional curves, making it stand out on city roads. Its wraparound LED tail-lamp and indicators add to its contemporary appeal.

Battery, Range & Charging

Under the body, the Orbiter packs a 3.1 kWh battery that delivers an impressive 158 km IDC range — significantly higher than the iQube’s 94 km. Charging, however, is on the slower side, with the 650W portable charger taking about 4 hours and 10 minutes to reach 80%.

Performance & Ride Experience

The Orbiter achieves a top speed of 68 kmph and accelerates from 0–40 kmph in 6.8 seconds. While it may not feel punchy, the throttle response is smooth and well-calibrated, resembling that of a petrol scooter. It features cruise control (active between 23–60 kmph) and hill-hold assist, enhancing convenience in city commutes. The scooter also handles nimbly thanks to its 14-inch front and 12-inch rear alloy wheel setup.

Features & Comfort

Highlight features include:

  • 34-litre underseat storage (fits two helmets)
  • Bluetooth connectivity and mobile app support
  • LED lighting and a colour LCD console
  • USB charger and small storage cubby

Conclusion

The TVS Orbiter combines practicality, comfort, and style, making it ideal for daily city commuting. Though its performance isn’t thrilling, its long range, smart features, and attractive design make it a strong contender in India’s fast-growing, affordable EV market.
