Tata Motors has officially unveiled the heavily updated Tiago EV ahead of its official India launch on May 28, 2026. The refreshed electric hatchback arrives with a sharper design, upgraded technology, improved safety features, and a more premium overall appearance. With prices expected to begin around ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model aims to strengthen Tata’s position in the affordable EV segment. The phrase “Next-Gen Tata Tiago EV Revealed” has already started trending among EV enthusiasts due to the major visual and feature upgrades introduced in this facelift.

Completely Redesigned Exterior Gets Premium EV Identity
The biggest highlight of the updated hatchback is its bold exterior redesign. The Next-Gen Tata Tiago EV Revealed images showcase a cleaner and more futuristic front fascia inspired by the Tata Altroz. The car now features slimmer rectangular LED headlamps paired with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a body-colored closed grille that clearly distinguishes it as an electric vehicle.
On the sides, Tata has added rugged black cladding around the wheel arches, giving the EV a sportier stance similar to the Tiago NRG. The hatchback also rides on newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels with aerodynamic inserts to improve airflow efficiency.
At the rear, the EV gets connected-style LED taillamps with triple vertical light signatures, a redesigned bumper, a shark-fin antenna, and a roof spoiler. Tata has also introduced a fresh mint green paint option with a contrasting black roof exclusively for the EV model.
Interior Expected to Get Major Technology Upgrade
Although Tata Motors has not fully revealed the cabin yet, reports suggest significant updates inside the car. The Next-Gen Tata Tiago EV update is expected to bring a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a revised fully digital instrument cluster.
A major feature addition will likely be the 360-degree parking camera system, confirmed through visible camera pods mounted under the ORVMs and front bumper. Tata is also expected to improve passenger safety by offering six airbags as standard across all variants.
Battery, Range & Charging Details
Mechanically, the Tiago EV is expected to continue with its existing battery options. Buyers will likely get the 19.2 kWh battery pack producing 61 bhp and 110 Nm torque with a claimed range of 223 km. The larger 24 kWh battery pack generates 75 bhp and 114 Nm torque while delivering a claimed MIDC range of 293 km.
Fast charging support allows the battery to charge up to 80% in under an hour, while regular charging times range between 2.5 and 6.5 hours, depending on the charger type.
Expected Price & Rivals
The Next-Gen Tata Tiago EV Revealed model is expected to be priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹11.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue competing against rivals like the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3 in India’s growing affordable electric vehicle market.
