As fuel prices continue to fluctuate globally, electric mobility is becoming an increasingly attractive option for consumers. To accelerate this shift, VinFast has launched a special campaign encouraging drivers to exchange their old ICE cars for a VinFast EV and enjoy attractive discounts along with several ownership benefits.
The initiative, called “Trade Gas for Electric,” is currently available in four key markets—Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The program aims to make the transition from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric mobility more affordable and convenient for customers.
What Is the “Trade Gas for Electric” Program?
Through this program, customers can exchange their old ICE car for a VinFast EV and receive a 3% discount on new VinFast electric cars. In addition, buyers of VinFast electric scooters can enjoy an even higher 5% discount.
Importantly, these discounts are stackable with existing offers, meaning customers may also benefit from exchange bonuses, loyalty incentives, or other promotional schemes currently available in their respective markets.
The first phase of the campaign runs from March 11 to March 31, 2026, although the company has indicated the possibility of extending the program depending on global fuel price trends and market demand.
VinFast’s Vision for Sustainable Mobility
According to Duong Thi Thu Trang, the program is a timely response to geopolitical uncertainties and rising fuel costs worldwide.
She emphasised that VinFast, along with partners in the green ecosystem of Vingroup, aims to provide smarter and more sustainable mobility solutions. The initiative not only reduces reliance on gasoline but also helps lower environmental pollution and makes daily transportation more cost-efficient.
VinFast Electric SUVs Available in India
Customers who exchange their old ICE car for a VinFast EV in India can currently choose from two electric SUVs offered by the brand:
VinFast VF 6
- Compact electric SUV
- 59.6 kWh battery pack
- Claimed driving range of up to 480 km
VinFast VF 7
- Premium midsize electric SUV
- Available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations
- Driving range of up to 532 km, depending on the variant
VinFast has also confirmed plans to introduce its electric two-wheelers in India later this year, further expanding its EV portfolio.
Additional Benefits for Buyers
Beyond the standard discount, the company is offering multiple ownership advantages. Customers in India can receive exchange support of up to ₹1.30 lakh when switching from petrol or diesel vehicles.
The company also provides a “Value Assured” residual value guarantee, ensuring up to 75% of the ex-showroom price as resale value. In addition, both SUVs come with an industry-leading 10-year warranty, giving buyers long-term peace of mind.
