India’s energy storage sector is evolving rapidly, and Electrent Energy Eyes Hybrid Inverters & EV batteries as lithium-ion demand continues to grow across residential, commercial, and mobility segments. The Haryana-based startup, known for its off-grid solar expertise, is now preparing for a strategic expansion that aligns with shifting government policies and rising consumer demand.

Strong Foundation in Off-Grid Solutions

Electrent Energy currently manufactures off-grid inverters, lithium batteries, and integrated Energy Storage Systems (ESS) designed for residential and small commercial applications. Its primary market includes rural and semi-urban areas, where reliable power backup solutions are essential.

With an in-house manufacturing facility located in Bhiwani, Haryana, the company produces battery systems ranging from 12-volt to 400-volt configurations. Over the past 18 months, Electrent has installed approximately 18–19 MW of battery capacity. Its projects include installations at Rajasthan district courts, government schools, and numerous homes and small businesses.

Installations are executed through a strong distributor network, ensuring last-mile connectivity and service support.

Transitioning from Off-Grid to Hybrid Solutions

As policy direction and market dynamics evolve, Electrent Energy Eyes Hybrid Inverters & EV batteries to diversify beyond its traditional off-grid portfolio. According to the company’s leadership, hybrid and selective on-grid-compatible solutions are expected to roll out within the next six to nine months.

The upcoming hybrid inverter range will span from 1 kW to 50 kW, targeting India’s fast-growing residential and small commercial solar segment. However, the company has clarified that it does not plan to enter the pure on-grid inverter market in the near future.

Government initiatives encouraging the replacement of diesel generators with cleaner battery storage systems have further strengthened the off-grid and hybrid markets. A recent example includes the deployment of a 40-kW hybrid inverter combined with lithium batteries and solar panels at a Rajasthan school, effectively replacing a diesel generator.

Rising Lithium Adoption and Supply Chain Challenges

Lithium-ion batteries are gaining traction, especially in higher-capacity systems, as prices decline and customers prefer compact, low-maintenance alternatives to traditional lead-acid batteries.

However, challenges remain. India still relies heavily on imported battery cells and Battery Management Systems (BMS), making supply chain stability a key concern for manufacturers.

Expanding into Electric Mobility

Beyond solar energy storage, Electrent Energy Eyes Hybrid Inverters & EV batteries as part of its broader growth strategy. The company is preparing to launch lithium-ion batteries for electric two-wheelers within weeks, with future plans to expand into the three-wheeler segment.

With lithium demand accelerating and hybrid systems gaining policy support, Electrent Energy Eyes Hybrid Inverters & EV batteries to position itself at the center of India’s clean energy and electric mobility transformation.
