Get ready for an electrifying debut as Chery’s Exeed Exlantix ET5 EV gears up to redefine the boundaries of hybrid mobility. Opening pre-sales on November 13, this cutting-edge SUV promises a remarkable 205 km pure electric range, blending sustainability with power. As Chery’s most ambitious range-extender yet, the ET5 delivers a jaw-dropping total range of up to 1,500 km, setting new benchmarks for long-distance travel. But that’s just the beginning — beneath its elegant design lies advanced AI, futuristic interiors, and performance that rivals the best in the industry. Curious to know more? Let’s dive deeper!

Powertrain and Performance

The Exeed Exlantix ET5 EREV is a mid-size SUV built on Chery’s E0X platform, designed to balance performance, range, and comfort. It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that functions solely as a generator, paired with a 195 kW (261 hp) rear electric motor for propulsion. The range extender produces 115 kW (154 hp), ensuring seamless transitions between electric and hybrid modes.

This variant features a 32.66 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery supplied by CATL or Gotion High-tech, supporting a pure electric range of 205 km. Other variants in the lineup provide up to 240 km of EV-only range, depending on configuration. On performance, the SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, offering both efficiency and agility.

Technology and Interior Design

Inside, the Exlantix ET5 presents a luxurious, tech-forward experience. The cabin’s “elegant and fluid” design merges Eastern aesthetics with modern digital sophistication. It features a triple-screen cockpit—a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, 15.6-inch central display, and 12.3-inch passenger screen—powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip for ultra-fast processing and smooth multitasking.

For smart connectivity, the ET5 incorporates AI voice systems co-developed with iFlytek and DeepSeek, enabling natural, context-aware voice commands. Entertainment is elevated by a 21-speaker Boyah Sound system with 7.1.4-channel surround audio. Additional comforts include ventilated, heated, and massaging front seats, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.

Design and Dimensions

Measuring 4,780 mm in length with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the ET5 fits squarely in the mid-size SUV segment. Its exterior showcases a closed front fascia with shell-inspired headlights and triple light bars, complemented by star-wing LED taillights that deliver a futuristic aesthetic.

Market Outlook

The Exeed Exlantix ET5 targets the premium mid-size SUV market, competing with the Tesla Model Y, Nio ES7, and Xpeng G9. Priced between 189,800 and 225,800 Yuan for existing EREV versions, official pricing for the 205 km variant will be announced on November 13.

With plans for global expansion into Russia, the Middle East, and Central Asia, the ET5 reinforces Chery’s ambition to position Exeed as a world-class electric mobility brand, blending innovation, range, and design sophistication into one impressive SUV.
