BYD starts Da Han EV pre-sales in China, introducing its new Dynasty 9-series flagship electric sedan with a starting pre-sale price of 249,900 yuan (around $36,850). Unveiled at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, the premium EV promises up to 1,008 km of CLTC range, high-performance dual-motor capability, LiDAR-based driver assistance, and ultra-fast charging technology.
BYD Da Han EV Price and Variants
The Da Han EV is available for pre-sale in three variants—two rear-wheel-drive (RWD) versions and one all-wheel-drive (AWD).
The 1,008-km RWD LiDAR Premium is priced at 249,900 yuan, while the 1,008-km RWD LiDAR Flagship costs 269,900 yuan. Pricing details for the AWD variant were not included in the available information.

With BYD starting Da Han EV pre-sales, the company is positioning the sedan above the existing Han. It joins the previously introduced Da Tang SUV, strengthening BYD’s premium Dynasty flagship portfolio.
1,008 km Range and 764 hp Performance
The Da Han measures 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall, with a 3,130-mm wheelbase. Its aerodynamic design delivers a drag coefficient of just 0.197.
The RWD model uses a 370-kW electric motor, while the AWD version adds a 200-kW front motor for a combined 570 kW (764 hp).
The AWD Da Han accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, reaches 270 km/h, and completes the 100-150 km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds. Its 100-0 km/h braking distance is 32.83 meters.
Battery, Charging and Premium Technology
Previous regulatory filings indicate a battery capacity of up to 102.326 kWh. The RWD Da Han offers up to 1,008 km CLTC range, while the AWD version reaches up to 880 km.
As BYD starts Da Han EV pre-sales, buyers also get 15 standard features, including DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, ultra-fast flash charging, rear-wheel steering, and dual zero-gravity front seats. Rear-wheel steering enables a tight 4.95-meter minimum turning radius.
Every variant features the LiDAR-equipped God’s Eye B driver-assistance system, smart dimming privacy glass and a premium 31-speaker Devialet audio system.
BYD Pushes Deeper Into Premium EV Market
A PHEV version is also planned, combining a 1.5T engine with a 200-kW drive motor, although its pre-sales have not started.
Overall, BYD starts Da Han EV pre-sales as part of a broader premium-market push, with the Da Han sedan and Da Tang SUV forming the core of BYD’s new Dynasty 9-series flagship lineup.
