Designed to bridge the gap between the Curvv EV and the flagship Harrier EV, the Sierra EV is expected to strengthen Tata’s position in the premium midsize electric SUV segment.

Retro Design Meets Modern EV Technology

Built on Tata Motors’ advanced acti.ev+ architecture, the Sierra EV combines nostalgic styling elements with modern electric vehicle design. The SUV retains the upright stance and signature wraparound rear glass area that made the original Sierra popular, while incorporating contemporary design details and a futuristic electric identity. The announcement that the Tata Sierra EV Debut On June 30 has generated significant excitement among EV enthusiasts and SUV buyers alike.

Battery, Range and Performance Expectations

The Sierra EV is expected to share several components with the Harrier EV. Reports suggest that the electric SUV could be offered with battery packs ranging from 65 kWh to 75 kWh. Higher variants are expected to deliver a claimed driving range of approximately 550 km to 600 km on a single charge.

Expected Price and Rivals

Industry estimates suggest the Sierra EV could be priced between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors may also introduce a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option to reduce the initial purchase cost and improve affordability.

Once launched, the SUV will compete with the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser EV.

With the Tata Sierra EV Debuts on June 30, the company is preparing to redefine the premium electric SUV segment while reviving a legendary nameplate for a new generation of buyers.
