Royal Enfield has officially showcased its second electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea S6 (FF.S6), marking another major milestone in its EV journey. Revealed at EICMA 2025 and later at Motoverse 2025, the S6 brings a perfect blend of Royal Enfield’s wartime legacy and modern electric engineering. Positioned as a “city+explorer” electric scrambler, the Flying Flea S6 is expected to enter production by late 2026, with an India launch planned in early 2027.
Design Rooted in History, Built for Today
The Flying Flea name traces its origin to Royal Enfield’s lightweight motorcycles used by the UK Army during World War II, which were famously air-dropped using parachutes. Keeping this heritage alive, the modern S6 carries forward a simple, compact, and rugged scrambler design, complete with a parachute-inspired logo.
Key visual highlights include a round LED headlamp, wide handlebars, an enduro-style flat seat, and a distinctive exposed magnesium battery casing with finned detailing. This magnesium housing not only enhances the retro-industrial look but also reduces weight and improves cooling.
Built for Urban Exploration and Light Trails
The S6 rides on a lightweight chassis paired with long-travel USD front forks and a monoshock rear, ensuring comfort both in the city and on light off-road terrains. Royal Enfield equips the bike with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked aluminium wheels, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres ideal for mild off-roading.
Disc brakes at both ends are coupled with dual-channel, lean-sensing ABS, which can be switched off in off-road mode. High ground clearance further strengthens its scrambler credentials.
Smart Tech Meets Electric Performance
At the heart of the Flying Flea S6 is an in-house operating system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor. Riders get a 3.5-inch round TFT touchscreen offering:
- 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity
- Smart navigation and smartphone-based voice assist
- Multiple riding modes, including Off-Road Mode and Crawl Mode
- OTA (Over-the-Air) updates
Power and battery specifications remain under wraps, but Royal Enfield suggests that the S6 will deliver performance comparable to a 125–150cc petrol motorcycle, with an estimated range of around 150 km. The bike uses an LFP battery pack encased in magnesium fins, providing better thermal management. Charging is simple, via a standard 15A socket, delivering 1 km of range per minute—meaning 100 km in about 1.5 hours.

Positioning and Brand Strategy
The S6 is part of Royal Enfield’s dedicated EV sub-brand Flying Flea, following the classic-styled C6 set for launch in early 2026. While the C6 is city-focused, the S6 caters to riders seeking a nimble, capable scrambler with added electric versatility. Positioned in the mid-to-premium electric motorcycle segment, the Flying Flea S6 is designed to appeal to urban explorers and adventure-curious riders.
