Moroccan Carmaker is gearing up to make its mark in the global electric vehicle (EV) industry as Neo Motors, the country’s first local carmaker, prepares to launch its first homegrown EV, the Dial-E, in 2026. Priced at around 100,000 Moroccan dirhams (approximately $11,000 USD), this compact city car aims to bring affordable electric mobility to both Moroccan and international markets.
A Milestone for Morocco’s Automotive Industry
Neo Motors’ upcoming release signifies a major step forward for the North African nation, already known as a key automotive manufacturing hub hosting major global brands like Stellantis and Renault. With the Dial-E, Morocco moves from being a production base for foreign carmakers to an innovator in its own right—designing, developing, and manufacturing its own electric vehicle.
Key Features and Specifications
The Neo Motors Dial-E is designed primarily for urban use. Its top speed reaches around 85 km/h (53 mph), making it ideal for city commuting. The vehicle offers a driving range of 150 kilometers (approximately 93 miles) on a single charge, catering perfectly to the daily needs of urban drivers.
Despite its compact size and budget-friendly price, the Dial-E promises modern design and practical performance. It demonstrates Neo Motors’ commitment to creating sustainable and efficient transportation solutions accessible to a wide audience.
Production and Market Expansion
Neo Motors has set an ambitious production goal of 10,000 units annually. The company has already obtained regulatory clearance in more than a dozen European countries, paving the way for export beyond Moroccan borders. This international recognition highlights the growing global confidence in Morocco’s automotive capabilities and technological expertise.

Driving Toward a Greener Future
The introduction of the Dial-E reflects Morocco’s broader vision of advancing green mobility and reducing carbon emissions. By offering a low-cost, eco-friendly alternative to traditional cars, Neo Motors is not only helping to democratize EV ownership but also positioning Morocco as a potential leader in the affordable EV segment.
