India’s electric vehicle charging network is preparing for another major upgrade as ChargeZone expands its partnership with Ador-Quench, also known as Quench Chargers. Announced on November 5, 2026, the agreement covers Made-in-India DC fast-charging equipment for 1,000 new locations nationwide. The ChargeZone EV Charging Expansion will introduce systems rated from 120 kW to 480 kW, serving private electric cars, buses, trucks and commercial fleets.

By prioritizing high-power infrastructure rather than simply increasing station numbers, the companies aim to improve charging availability, support long-distance mobility, and help ChargeZone reach 300 MW of cumulative network capacity across its growing operations in India.

What Is ChargeZone Planning?

ChargeZone and Ador-Quench plan to equip 1,000 new Indian charging locations with domestically manufactured 120–480 kW DC systems. The ChargeZone EV Charging Expansion targets highway drivers and commercial fleets, contributing towards ChargeZone’s planned 300 MW network capacity.

1,000 Locations, Multiple Charging Needs

The ChargeZone EV Charging Expansion will match charger capacity to different vehicles and operating patterns:

  • 120 kW chargers: Intended for electric cars travelling on highways and intercity corridors.
  • 360 kW and 480 kW dispensers: Designed for electric buses, trucks and fleet hubs with energy demand.
  • Multiple-vehicle support: High-capacity installations can serve busy hubs and help reduce queues.

Faster charging could improve fleet utilisation, where buses and trucks operate on schedules. Actual charging speeds will still depend on vehicle capabilities, battery conditions, and power sharing.

Made-in-India Hardware Built for Reliability

Quench’s charging equipment uses modular 30 kW AC-DC converter units, allowing configurations from 30 kW to 480 kW. The company says the systems achieve energy efficiency exceeding 96%, limiting conversion losses.

Key engineering features include forced-air cooling, front-access maintenance and a digital CAN interface. Operators can monitor voltage, current, temperature and diagnostic information, making equipment faults easier to identify.

Ravin Mirchandani, Chairperson of Ador Powertron and Quench Chargers, emphasized that manufacturing is domestic, including rectifier and controller modules. He also noted that ChargeZone was Quench’s first fast-charger customer.

ChargeCloud to Manage Network Performance

Every new location is expected to connect with ChargeZone’s proprietary ChargeCloud platform. Its capabilities include real-time power monitoring, dynamic load management and predictive diagnostics.

These tools can help operators distribute available power, identify emerging faults, and minimize charging downtime. For commercial fleet owners, dependable charger availability can matter as much as peak charging output.

Existing Network and Next Steps

ChargeZone reports operating more than 15,000 charging points across over 1,200 locations in India and the UAE. Quench Chargers, a subsidiary of Ador Powertron, says it has deployed more than 1,500 DC fast chargers across India.

ChargeZone founder and CEO Kartikey Hariyani said the partnership strengthens the company’s ability to support passenger and heavy commercial vehicles with suitable high-power infrastructure.

The ChargeZone EV Charging Expansion reflects demand for charging networks that support everything from family road trips to round-the-clock freight operations. However, the companies have not detailed station addresses, commissioning dates or charging tariffs. The 1,000 locations represent a planned rollout, not stations open to drivers.
