Overview
Tesla’s new showroom in Delhi: Tesla officially entered the Indian market on July 15, 2025, with the launch of its first Experience Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). At this event, the company also introduced the Tesla Model Y in two configurations: Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range RWD, priced at ₹59.89 lakh and ₹67.89 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).
Now, less than a month later, Tesla has taken another big step by opening its second showroom in India—an Experience Centre in Delhi’s Aerocity. Located at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the new centre spans around 8,200 sq ft and offers customers a complete Tesla experience, from exploring the Model Y to learning about its technology.
Location and Strategic Significance
The choice of Aerocity for Tesla’s Delhi Experience Centre is highly strategic. Aerocity is one of Delhi NCR’s most premium commercial hubs, situated close to the international airport, luxury hotels, corporate offices, and embassies. This makes it the perfect place to attract affluent buyers and business professionals.
In addition to the Aerocity showroom, Tesla has also leased a 33,000 sq ft facility in Gurugram’s Orchid Business Park, which suggests that the company is planning an even larger presence in the National Capital Region (NCR), possibly for service operations or logistics.
What does the Delhi Showroom offer?
The Delhi Experience Centre is designed as more than just a showroom. It provides an immersive brand experience, allowing visitors to:
- Explore the Tesla Model Y on display.
- Learn about Tesla’s advanced electric vehicle technology.
- Experience the interior design, touchscreen features, and driving innovations.
- Participate in test drives, giving potential customers a real feel of the car.
The Aerocity centre is aimed at strengthening Tesla’s visibility in North India while giving buyers the chance to experience the brand firsthand.

Charging Infrastructure: Superchargers in Delhi
With the opening of the Aerocity showroom, Tesla has also introduced its first V4 Supercharging station in Delhi. This is a crucial move, as charging infrastructure is one of the biggest concerns for EV buyers in India.
The charging station includes:
- Four V4 Superchargers (DC) with ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 250 kW.
- Three Destination Chargers (AC) with 11 kW charging capacity.
Tesla also plans to expand its charging network further, with additional Supercharger stations to be set up in Saket, Gurugram, and Noida. This expansion will make owning and driving a Tesla more convenient for customers across Delhi NCR.

Tesla’s Vision for India
The opening of Tesla’s second showroom in Delhi highlights the company’s aggressive push into the Indian EV market. After its debut in Mumbai, this expansion shows Tesla’s commitment to building a strong base in India, starting with metro cities.
While there has been speculation about Tesla setting up a Gigafactory in India, current indications suggest that large-scale local manufacturing may not happen immediately due to high import duties and strategic considerations. For now, Tesla is focusing on creating showrooms, charging networks, and brand visibility to build trust among Indian buyers.
Conclusion
Tesla’s second showroom in India, opened on August 11, 2025, at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, Delhi, marks another major milestone in the company’s global journey and its growing presence in India. With the Model Y variants on display, advanced charging infrastructure, and immersive customer experiences, Tesla is setting new standards in the Indian EV landscape.
The Model Y offers impressive battery range, high-speed performance, and rapid charging, making it a strong contender in the premium EV segment. Though local manufacturing may still take time, Tesla’s combination of cutting-edge technology and brand appeal positions it as a key player in shaping India’s electric future.
