TATA.ev MegaCharger Network Expansion
The new Mumbai hub is also part of the broader TATA.EV MegaCharger network, a flagship initiative by TPEM.
- Nationwide rollout: First phase includes 10 MegaCharger sites across highways and cities.
- Flagship site: A 400 kW MegaCharger was recently launched in Vadodara, along with installations in Vapi and Ghodbunder on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway.
- Partnerships: TPEM is working with Tata Power, ChargeZone, and Statiq to deploy 500 MegaChargers in the next two years.

Future Roadmap
TPEM’s Open Collaboration Framework aims to create an expansive, brand-agnostic EV ecosystem. Beyond passenger cars, Tata Motors and Tata Power are also setting up fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in metro cities. Many charging hubs will include amenities such as restrooms, cafes, and Wi-Fi, enhancing convenience for users.
The launch of the Mumbai MegaCharger hub highlights Tata Group’s integrated strategy to accelerate EV adoption, reduce range anxiety, and build a clean mobility ecosystem for India.
