Under the partnership, MATTER’s electric bikes, including its flagship AERA model, will gain seamless access to Bolt. Earth’s vast charging network spans over 100,000 charging points across 1,800+ cities, including major hubs like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi. This integration ensures that MATTER riders can locate and access chargers conveniently, making EV ownership more practical and stress-free.
Integration with the MatterVerse App
A key feature of the collaboration is the integration of Bolt. Earth chargers into the MatterVerse app. Through this digital platform, riders can find, navigate, and pay for charging sessions in real time, simplifying the charging process to the level of refueling a conventional vehicle. This approach aligns with MATTER’s vision of creating an ecosystem where charging becomes as ordinary as charging a mobile phone.
Phased Rollout of Infrastructure
The rollout of this partnership will occur in multiple phases:
- Immediate Access: MATTER riders can instantly use Bolt.Earth’s public charging stations via the MatterVerse app.
- Co-branded Chargers: Charging stations will be installed at MATTER dealerships and service centers to support test rides and provide convenient access for customers.
- Future Bundling: Eventually, new MATTER bikes may be sold with Bolt. Earth chargers included, embedding charging infrastructure directly into the purchase experience.
Clear Division of Responsibilities
The collaboration establishes defined roles for each company:
- Bolt. Earth will handle installation, maintenance, and uptime of chargers, provide real-time data and technical support, and assist with any promotional or free charging schemes initiated by MATTER.
- MATTER will focus on app integration, customer awareness campaigns, and guide dealership placement for chargers, ensuring infrastructure is available where it is most needed.
Additionally, the partnership leverages the LECCS Type-7 connector, supporting interoperability for two- and three-wheelers and advancing India’s sustainable mobility goals.
