The automotive landscape in India is rapidly evolving, with the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) no longer just a novelty but a key strategic focus for major manufacturers. Mahindra XUV400 EV

- Charging: AC charging (7.2 kW) takes roughly 6.5 hours; DC fast charging (50 kW) allows about 50 minutes to reach ~80% in the 39.4 kWh variant.
- Features: 10.25-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch digital driver display, six airbags, and disc brakes on all four wheels.
- Price: The ex-showroom price in Delhi starts at approximately ₹15.49 lakh for the base variant.
Mahindra BE 6
Launched in November 2024 (deliveries in early 2025) and built on the dedicated INGLO EV platform, the BE 6 marks Mahindra’s move into a more premium electric SUV territory.

- Battery: Available with either a 59 kWh or a 79 kWh battery pack.
- Claimed range: Up to 557–683 km depending on battery size and testing standard.

Mahindra XEV 9e
At the top of Mahindra’s current electric SUV pyramid is the XEV 9e, the flagship, built on INGLO, and aimed at buyers seeking premium EVs in India.

Upcoming Models: What to Watch Out For
Mahindra has laid out a roadmap of additional electric SUVs, signalling it intends to cover many slots in the SUV spectrum.
- Mahindra XEV 9S: A 7-seater electric SUV, world premiere on 27 November 2025. Built on INGLO, expected to share many features with XEV 9e, including triple-screen setup.
- Mahindra BE.05: Expected launch in India around Q4 2025. Positioned as a more affordable and sportier SUV-coupe compared to the BE 6. Battery likely around 60 kWh and claimed range ~450 km.

- If you are looking for an aspirational EV SUV, strong design, high tech, premium features, and you want something that competes with high-end ICE SUVs but in EV form, the XEV 9e fits that bill.
