India’s electric mobility sector is gearing up for a major push as Indofast Energy, a leading battery-swapping provider, partners with electric two-wheeler manufacturer e-Sprinto to deploy 20,000 electric scooters across the country by 2026. This collaboration is set to revolutionize the last-mile delivery ecosystem and accelerate EV adoption among commercial fleet operators.

How does the Partnership Work?

The alliance focuses on integrating e-Sprinto’s electric scooters with Indofast Energy’s extensive battery-swapping network. Delivery partners will benefit from a swift two-minute battery swap, effectively eliminating the downtime typically associated with EV charging. This seamless approach is designed to reduce operating costs, enhance vehicle uptime, and support the growing gig economy workforce. By removing range anxiety, this solution ensures that electric two-wheelers can operate continuously without disruption, making EVs a practical alternative for businesses.

Focus on Last-Mile Delivery

The initial rollout will target high-demand corridors in India, prioritizing sectors such as quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery. For fleet operators, continuous availability is critical, and the combination of electric scooters and rapid battery swapping ensures minimal downtime. By catering to the specific needs of last-mile logistics, this partnership paves the way for widespread EV adoption in commercial fleets, offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution for urban transportation challenges.

Expansion Plans & Future Vision

This collaboration also aligns with Indofast Energy’s ambitious expansion plans. By March 2026, the company aims to deploy 2,750 battery-swapping stations and support a fleet of 150,000 vehicles. Over the next three years, Indofast Energy envisions establishing 10,000 swapping points across more than 40 Indian cities, creating a robust infrastructure to support the nation’s growing EV ecosystem. Such expansion will further enhance the reliability and convenience of battery swapping as a mainstream solution for electric mobility.
