Skoda unveils the Epiq EV Final design ahead of its much-anticipated global premiere scheduled for May 19, 2026, in Zurich. The upcoming compact electric SUV is set to become the brand’s most affordable EV and marks a major step in its electrification strategy. With this reveal, Skoda unveils the, showcasing its new “Modern Solid” design language, both inside and out.
Modern Solid Design: A New Identity
The newly revealed sketches highlight a bold yet minimalist design approach. The exterior features a distinctive closed-off “Tech-Deck Face” finished in glossy black, replacing the traditional grille. T-shaped LED lighting elements for daytime running lights and indicators create a futuristic look, while aerodynamic enhancements such as active air shutters and 17–19-inch efficiency-optimized wheels improve performance.

Inside, Skoda unveils the Epiq EV Final design with a clean, horizontal cabin layout that replaces the conventional dashboard. This design enhances the feeling of space and simplicity, complemented by ambient lighting and eco-friendly materials.
Interior: Practical, Sustainable, and Tech-Loaded
The Epiq’s cabin is designed for both functionality and sustainability. It offers a clutter-free layout with a floating centre console that includes wireless charging and open storage. A 13-inch infotainment screen and a compact digital driver display ensure a modern driving experience, while physical “piano-key” buttons are retained for essential climate controls.
Practicality remains a key focus, with around 475 liters of boot space and clever storage features. Sustainable materials are used throughout, aligning with Skoda’s eco-conscious approach.
Performance and Platform
Built on the advanced MEB+ platform from Volkswagen Group, the Epiq is expected to deliver a range of up to 425–430 km on a single charge. The top-spec variant with a 55 kWh battery supports fast DC charging up to 133 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 23 minutes.
Key Role in Skoda’s EV Expansion
