Simple Energy will launch its family-focused electric scooter, the Wave, in India on September 2, 2026. Previously tested as “Arrive,” the model has now officially been named Simple Wave. The Upcoming Simple Energy Wave Electric Scooter will expand the Bengaluru-based manufacturer’s portfolio beyond the performance-oriented Simple One and OneS.

Designed for Everyday Family Mobility

Unlike the sportier One range, the Wave adopts a practical scooter design aimed at urban travel. Test models reveal a long, flat single-piece seat, spacious floorboard, center stand, and front fairing. These elements should improve passenger comfort while making it easier to carry groceries, bags, and everyday items.

The scooter is expected to use a Simple One-derived platform, supported by a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Alloy wheels, a front disc brake and a rear drum brake have appeared on test vehicles. LED lighting, keyless ignition, and a D-pad-style control unit could enhance convenience.

Expected Battery, Range and Performance

Simple Energy has not disclosed the production-ready specifications. Estimates suggest a 3.7kWh battery paired with a motor producing around 6.4kW of peak power. This configuration could deliver a claimed range of up to 190km and a top speed of 90 km/h. Other reports mentioned a 3kWh battery and nearly 150km of range, so buyers should await confirmation at launch.

The Upcoming Simple Energy Wave Electric Scooter may benefit from the company’s heavy rare-earth-free electric motor technology. Simple Energy claims it is the first Indian original equipment manufacturer to manufacture such motors, alongside developing its software and technology in-house.

Features Expected on the Simple Wave

A seven-inch TFT display could headline the equipment list, offering smartphone connectivity, navigation, music controls, call and notification alerts, and weather or news updates. Hill assist, reverse mode, cruise control, and USB charging are expected on the Upcoming Simple Energy Wave Electric Scooter.

Expected Price and Key Rivals

Simple Energy is likely to position the Wave below the OneS, potentially near ₹1 lakh ex-showroom, making it the brand’s most accessible scooter. Its competitors will include the Ather Rizta, the upcoming Ather Konarc, the TVS iQube, the Bajaj Chetak, the Hero Vida VX2, and the Ola S1 series.

Final pricing, variants, charging details, and certified specifications will be announced on September 2. If priced competitively, the Upcoming Simple Energy Wave Electric Scooter could help Simple Energy reach a much broader family-scooter audience in India’s expanding electric two-wheeler market.
