Mahindra is preparing to unveil the Upcoming Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq EV on August 15, 2026, positioning it as a premium, technology-focused flagship variant of the born-electric BE 6 coupe-SUV. The new top-spec version is expected to bridge the technology gap between the standard BE 6 and Mahindra’s more expensive electric flagship, the XEV 9e.
Three-Screen Dashboard Is the Biggest Change
The biggest highlight of the Upcoming Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq EV is its redesigned cabin. The standard BE 6’s dual-screen arrangement makes way for a full-width glass display panel incorporating three 12.3-inch screens.
The third screen is dedicated to the front passenger, giving the cabin a more sophisticated, tech-heavy character.
Mahindra has also removed the controversial halo-like central spine that previously separated the driver and passenger areas. Its removal creates a more open dashboard layout while making the wireless phone charger and USB Type-C ports easier to access.
The cabin is further differentiated by a premium black-and-tan upholstery theme, replacing the standard black-and-grey treatment. Sporty red ambient lighting adds a more dynamic touch.
Sportier Exterior Without Major Design Changes
Visually, the BE 6 Sporteq retains the coupe-SUV’s sharp and aerodynamic silhouette. However, a dark matte grey or matte black exterior finish, combined with a contrasting gloss-black roof, gives the variant a more distinctive appearance.
The familiar C-shaped LED daytime running lights and full-LED headlamps continue to define its front-end design.
Powertrain and Range Remain Unchanged
Despite the “Sport” branding, the Upcoming Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq EV does not receive mechanical upgrades. It will continue using the INGLO electric platform and rear-wheel-drive setup.
The 59kWh version produces 231PS and 380Nm, with a claimed MIDC range of up to 548km. The larger 79kWh battery delivers 286PS and 380Nm, with a claimed range of up to 683km.
Both versions support 140kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in around 20 minutes.
Premium Features and Safety
The Sporteq is expected to retain the BE 6’s extensive equipment, including a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, head-up display, and a 360-degree camera.
Its Level 2+ ADAS package uses five radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The BE 6 also carries a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
Expected Price and Rivals
The standard BE 6 currently spans ₹18.90 lakh to ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Given its premium interior and triple-screen setup, the Upcoming Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq EV is expected to cost around ₹24 lakh-₹29 lakh.
At this price point, it could compete with the Tata Sierra EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV, while offering a stronger technology-led cabin proposition.
