JSW MG Motor India is preparing to expand its electric SUV portfolio with the Hector Hawk, a new three-row model expected to make its official debut on August 26, 2026. The Upcoming MG Hector Hawk EV in India is widely anticipated to be associated with the “Hector Tomahawk” name appearing in searches, although final production naming and specifications remain subject to the company’s announcement.
Bookings, Price and Launch
Pre-bookings are reportedly open with a token amount of ₹21,000. Positioned above the existing Hector, the electric SUV is expected to cost roughly ₹20 lakh to ₹30 lakh, ex-showroom. It will also become the first Indian model based on MG’s new ADAPT flexible architecture and draw heavily from the global Wuling Starlight 560.

Battery, Performance and Range
The Upcoming MG Hector Hawk EV in India is expected to arrive before its plug-in hybrid counterpart. However, available reports contain conflicting powertrain details. One set points to a 69.2 kWh battery, a front-mounted motor producing 198bhp and 310 Nm, and a claimed CLTC range of up to 530km. Another suggests a 56.7 kWh battery with approximately 136bhp, 200Nm and nearly 500km range. Official India-spec figures should therefore be confirmed at the unveiling.
A PHEV version is expected to follow later, giving MG a broader electrified offering in the premium midsize SUV segment.
Large Seven-Seat SUV
Recently spotted undisguised during a commercial shoot, the Hector Hawk adopts a bold, upright design. It measures approximately 4,745mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,755mm tall, with a 2,810mm wheelbase.
Exterior highlights include a blanked-off grille, rectangular LED headlamps, twin horizontal DRLs, an illuminated central MG badge and dual-tone swirl-pattern alloy wheels. The Upcoming MG Hector Hawk EV in India will offer a 2+3+2 seven-seat arrangement, including a bench-type second row.
Features and Safety
Inside, expected highlights include a panoramic sunroof, dual digital displays, and ventilated front seats. Safety and driver-assistance equipment could include Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera, strengthening its technology-focused positioning.
Competition
The Upcoming MG Hector Hawk EV in India is shaping up as an important new electric SUV for family buyers seeking three-row practicality and long range in the Indian EV market. Once launched, it is expected to compete with electric SUVs, including the Tata Harrier EV, the upcoming Tata Safari EV, and the Mahindra XEV 9S. Pricing, battery specifications, certified range, and the final model name remain the key details to watch on August 26.
