Vontier Corporation, a mobility technology and solutions provider, has announced the acquisition of EKOS, a cloud-connected software company specializing in fleet, fuel, and electric vehicle (EV) management. Announced on August 6, 2026, the deal strengthens Vontier’s strategy to build a technology ecosystem for commercial fleets navigating multi-energy networks. Vontier’s EKOS Acquisition

Why the EKOS Acquisition Matters
Vontier’s EKOS Acquisition will boost EV Fleet Operations by bringing fuel management, EV charging, and fleet functions together. EKOS currently supports more than 1.2 million vehicles across the United States through partnerships. Its technology is designed to reduce operating costs, simplify workflows, and scale operations.
Its cloud-based interface gives operators a single view of fuel procurement, fuel card controls, site monitoring, asset management, and EV charging infrastructure. This matters as commercial fleets increasingly combine conventional vehicles and EVs.
One Connected Fleet Technology Platform
Vontier’s EKOS Acquisition to Boost EV Fleet capabilities by integrating EKOS’s modular cloud software with Vontier’s existing equipment and turnkey solutions. The combined platform is expected to provide an end-to-end service across fuel sites and fleet operations.
Key capabilities include centralized EV charging infrastructure management, fuel procurement and controls, asset tracking, and site monitoring and reporting. Bringing these functions into one interface gives operators greater visibility for faster decisions.
The companies highlighted full-stack integration across eight critical layers: hardware, communications, alarms, integrations, service, support, software, and centralized reporting.
Existing Partnership Creates Immediate Synergy
The Vontier EKOS Acquisition to Boost EV Fleet technology builds on an established relationship. Vontier already offers EKOS to fleet customers as a preferred fuel management software solution, while EKOS’s cloud-connected platform is integrated with Vontier equipment and turnkey solutions across fuel sites.
Vontier President and CEO Mark Morelli said the acquisition will help fleet operators optimize performance, streamline operations, and navigate an increasingly complex energy landscape. He added that strengthening the fleet technology ecosystem will create customer value while supporting Vontier’s long-term growth.
A Bigger Push Into Multi-Energy Fleets
EKOS President Phil Dorroll said a true fleet operating system requires integration across all eight operational layers. Joining Vontier, he said, gives EKOS coverage across those layers and positions it as a fully integrated operating system.
The acquisition positions Vontier at the intersection of traditional fuel management and electric mobility, giving operators a unified platform as fleet electrification accelerates across rapidly evolving commercial fleet technology markets.
