Wuling has officially unveiled the latest generation of its bestselling micro-electric car, marking a major step forward as Wuling launched the Hongguang Mini EV 2026 in the Chinese market. Known for transforming urban mobility with its extremely affordable and compact electric vehicles, Wuling continues its winning formula—small size, smart design, and budget-friendly pricing.

Ultra-Affordable Pricing That Defies the Market

In a world where electric cars are getting bigger and more expensive, Wuling launched the Hongguang Mini EV 2026 with four variants, starting at just RMB 44,800 (€5,300). Even the top model costs only RMB 54,800 (€6,500). These prices come without any government incentives, making the new Mini EV one of the most economical electric cars available today.

A Fresh “Sweet Square” Design

Wuling refers to the new styling as “sweet square,” maintaining the Mini EV’s practical box shape while giving it a friendlier, more modern look. Rounded edges, circular LED headlights, and redesigned side mirrors add charm, while an upgraded eight-layer paint process introduces three premium new colors. As Wuling launched the Hongguang Mini EV 2026, the brand ensured it looked fresh yet instantly recognizable.

Slightly Larger, Still Perfect for the City

Although compact, the 2026 model is a bit bigger than before—3268 mm long, 1520 mm wide, and 1575 mm tall—while keeping the same 2190 mm wheelbase. The extra length improves cabin access, especially with its practical four-door layout. A tiny 4.5-meter turning radius ensures effortless driving in tight streets and dense urban traffic.

Smarter and Roomier Interior

The interior now feels more premium, thanks to a dual-tone theme and brown-white seating. Wuling moved the gear selector to the steering column, opening more floor space. A new 10.1-inch infotainment screen runs a smartphone-like system, along with camping mode and pet mode for extra convenience.

Keyless entry, remote AC activation through a phone app, and 20 storage compartments add everyday practicality. Foldable rear seats expand cargo capacity to 838 liters, impressive for such a small EV.

Performance, Range & Efficiency

The Mini EV runs on a 30 kW motor, accelerating from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.5 seconds, ideal for city usage. Buyers can choose between two LFP battery options offering 205 km or 301 km of range. Its energy consumption is a remarkable 8.9 kWh/100 km.

Fast charging is now available, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes, supported by a standard battery heater for cold climates.

Safety Comes Standard

Despite its low cost, Wuling prioritizes safety. About 60% of the structure uses high-strength steel, paired with front airbags, electronic stability control, disc brakes, and a smoother suspension setup.
